Each plant will produce 1-2 pounds a year when mature.

Instead of cutting, it's better to pull the suckers by hand .

How would you properly trim the branches without jeopardizing fruit production? Thanks for video

The bush produces the fruit in clusters along each branch. If you're trimming for shape, I think if you don't jeopardize the fruit bearing buds you won't affect the production too much. But it might be advisable to remove entire branches. A heavily pruned plant should produce a good crop on the fruiting wood that remains. And the plant will produce quality fruit for many more years.

Accidentally I left my potted plant in the sun (I know, I know) when I had to put it outside, as an ant's nest had taken a firm hold on it somehow from inside the house! Want to nip out the brown leaves that got fried, but not sure where to cut. It's actually recovered well, and is mostly glossy and deep green. Do I cut out the lower 'suckers' on this small plant, as you did?

I'd recommend keeping 1 central leader. If the suckers are healthier pick one of those. Otherwise cut them out.
