Great video & so needed in today’s world. So many people feel it’s all about them & no one else matters. A few years ago I was on the last flight from Orange County California to San Francisco. The airline I was on did not have assigned seats. It was pretty much a full plane and because of the random seats available. The only seat that I was able to get was by an emergency exit. I am a petite woman, and there is no way I could’ve open the emergency door in the event of an emergency. The stewardess asked if anybody would be willing to change seats with me, and she did tell them that I was unable to physically open the door in the event of an emergency. Nobody would respond. It was mostly a businessman on the flight She had to have me come up so people could see that I was petite and unable to properly open in Emergency exit. Still, no one volunteered to change seats. Until she offered a free drink for anybody who would do this. Then so many people raise their hands and wanted to volunteer. So sad that they had to be bribed to help in an emergency situation if it came up.

People generally are also afraid, so there is that combined with callousness that can cause that kind of situation. Others. That’s what people need to learn!

Yes I once heard it’s ok to feel shy, but never a good enough reason to be rude

I like this! I’m often torn when to let my little boy be a “kid”. Love the idea of showing him where he can be loud and energetic and where he can’t.

How do you handle different personality types in adults? My children play in the gym at church on Wednesday nights and they run around and can loud. The rule is that They can play that way until people start coming in and then they have to stop. They play on the opposite side of the gym of other people. Some people have made comments about how wild they are and other people enjoy them playing. How do you handle those situations?

It is really up to you and what boundaries you set. Do you think your boundaries are reasonable? Are the people who are annoyed just being unreasonable or are your children being out of control and need to tone it down? That's really a judgment call. You can't please all of the people all of the time, but the only ones that should not be pleased are those who are never pleased no matter what you do. The point would be that your children, in general, do not cause others annoyance or problems and are not rude or unruly. A gymnasium is a place where it is usually seen as acceptable to allow children to run and have fun. But, on the other hand, if they are screaming and it is echoing so it is uncomfortable for others, that would be unacceptable. Outside is the only place where louder voices would be ok. It's all a matter of circumstances and intensity, so I can't really give you a definite "what to do" here.

This video was really helpful for situation that happened today. How do you help a child who has attitude issues and walks away and refuses to do what you say? My husband and I both have anger issues and it's related to our time in the military. We are now getting help for it here's later but I think our children picked up some bad habits from us. Do you have any videos on this?

The thing that is missing is a trust relationship and the problem with your children not respecting your authority. This may be because there has been a lot of yelling if you have anger issues. There are several videos on this channel about yelling, and I would suggest you look at the playlists. These will give you more direction on specific behaviors. Also, if you go to my website, you will see categories by scrolling down on the home page and clicking on the subject you need. You will find videos, podcasts, articles and even a way to schedule a private session if you wish. I hope this helps. There are multiple issues that are causing this to happen and one video alone is not going to address the entire matter.
