I wanted to show you guys how to take apart a t5 transmission. Also some knowledge to share from my experience with them and some information on how they work. Tune in for part 2 when we turn this stock T5 in my Pro Street Z spec setup.

really appreciate your video, thanks in advance...looks like your one of many that don't provide the needle bearings for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear in your kit? seems there not readily available anymore or hard to find so people selling the kits without them. I found them at one of the authorized Tremec ELITE dealers called Modern Driveline out of Idaho. plus they have the one piece shift interlock finger/pin where the old design was a tow piece that could fall apart.

Awesome channel! Can you please give me some advice on my new to me WC T5? I'm having trouble shifting into 5th and reverse. It is very hard to get into gear. No strange noise, clutch is adjusted correctly. This transmission sat for several years without fluid. I just installed and started running it and I was told it might loosen up after running it for awhile. Is this valid advice. I'm running non synthetic ATF fluid. I appreciate any help you could provide. I don't want to tear it down unless necessary. Thanks

Good video...... we are releasing a brand new 2.95 ratio gear set for the Ford application rated at 450 hp and retains the factory 10 spline clutch. It might be something worth looking at for you in the future on rebuilds.

The Pro Street is a package I put together myself after years of rebuilding T5s. I am located in Costa Mesa, Ca. If you aren’t able to drop off locally then its usually a deal breaker to ship as shipping can be an additional $250-$400 depending on where you are.
