Apostle James E Talmage said, in Jesus The Christ, that all miracles are simply divine science. God is obeying and using the full laws of mother nature to a degree that they appear like a miracle to us. I didn't quote him verbatim, but that's the message he wrote.

You kids, we were talking about the spectrum of light for visions and things not seen back at BYU in the early 70's. Good to hear it being talked about again. Years ago I received what I would call a microburst of revelation. It took me 12 years to unpack everything I saw and watch it come to pass.

Hey kids, boomer here. I actually came to this conclusion fifty years ago while I was pondering the fall of Jericho. The lord used sound or vibration to take the walls down. The logical conclusion was that all of our senses are telestial that’s why we can’t see beyond this environment. Further light and knowledge will expand our senses. Grace to grace. Daily repentance and humility will move us forward to that greater light.

A pilar of light can easily be sheilded by many techniques. Fiber optics uses cladding , a different type of glass wrapping the inner fiber. A possibility is to use phase cancelation. Just as noise cancelling headphones prevent sound from hitting your ears, light phase cancelation could be implemented. Light absorbing material can also be used. God's glory, light, energy is beyond our capacity to comprehend and describe in our low energy state.

I have long been grateful for the idea that God isn't magic. I truly feel we are the only church that is open to the idea that God actually really does things in real ways. He doesn't just hand wave everything. And this aligns perfectly with the truth. He didn't make us out of nothing, there is a way to create, and he knows that way. I think as I type this that the thing to remember is that the ability is not UNIQUE to him. If we become like him, we can do what he does. But we have to mature to that point to be able to do it, because... something something power... something something responsibility.

Um ... Believing is the first step, but you need to quiet your mind to hear God. The mind is part of our rebellious nature and when Jesus teaches us to become like children, He is talking to us about relying solely on the spirit and not our mind or knowledge, conditioning we have received in life as our mortal identity. We empty our mind of thoughts, we leave behind everything we think we know and come to God as a cleansed vessel for His Spirit to fill us up with pure truth.
@gnomecaveira1490
@gnomecaveira1490 6 ай бұрын
@@Uke1111-to8xj that's partially true- we need to rely on the Spirit but I was intentionally being broad/general in my comment to take less space- i.e. if we believe, have faith, we will be motivated to take the next steps that are necessary to follow God's plan and do His will. This will allow us to perform miracles that the Spirit inspires/directs us to perform. idk where you learned that to come to God we have to have no thoughts of our own, though (if you have scriptural/doctrinal basis to back that up, I'd appreciate learning about that though). I understand that we have to allow ourselves to be purified/sanctified by the Spirit and remove all ungodliness, but that doesn't mean to have none of our own thoughts, it means to learn to put away unrighteous thoughts and only give heed (allow room) for righteous desires, thoughts, and intents to take hold of our hearts and minds. The point of our time here isn't to erase ourselves/our own identity, which is what it sounds like you're implying when you say, "we empty our minds of thoughts." The whole point of the mortal existence is to learn to use agency, to think for ourselves, but in a way that aligns with God's will- if we don't think for ourselves, but only do whatever God tells us to do, we're no better than mindless drones, there's no growth or progression. (D&C 58:26 and Matthew 25:14-30). In the parable of the talents in Matthew 25, the Lord never told the servants how to use the money; He simply gave it to them while He was away and it was left to them to use their own judgement as to how to use the money but when He came back, only the two who had thought to use the money in a way that would please Him were blessed. The one who chose to use it in a way that didn't benefit anyone and bury it was chastised and punished for his lack of thought and effort. In D&C 58, God says we are useless servants if we wait for Him (or His Spirit) to command us to do something before we do it. (I included both references, however, as I'm not sure what faith you belong to having never met you before and to offer a second witness/scriptural basis for what I say.) God expects us to use our agency (ability to act and choose what we will do) to follow Him, yes, but not at the expense of our ability to grow and learn to live according to the laws that govern His kingdom. But like I said before, if there are scriptures and other doctrinal sources you know of that support what you've said, and the assertions you've made, I'd love to hear more about them👍That just doesn't seem to support my understanding of the Gospel based on my studies of the scriptures thus far. (The edit was only to break up the comment into sections to make it easier on the eyes. All other text remains the same)

I had a similar thought recently during Sunday School. There is so much in the world that we can't perceive; just look at how much information we can "translate" because of modern technology. Night vision. X-ray machines, heat vision, radio waves, television. All these technologies take information our bodies can't perceive, and translating it into something that we can make sense of, even though that's not what it actually is.

Infinitude! - "This faculty, like our physical sense, is susceptible of cultivation. Its possibilities are limitless; it is the cause least understood; it is the divine of our nature; it brings to our understanding things not seen with the natural eye or discerned by mortal mind; it extends our correspondences. With the eyes and senses of our physical self, we are in correspondence with our physical surroundings; with our spiritual eyes and senses awakened and cultivated, we come into communion with infinitude." -Sarah M. This is one of the few times that I'm actually on board with Kwaku. I think he's right on the money here. For example, Moses didn't technically NEED the staff to part the Red Sea. The staff was just a stick with no power of its own. Moses was just familiar with staffs, so God let him use it. Same goes with Joseph Smith. He technically didn't NEED a seer stone. He could have just translated it. And, like Kwaku said, I don't even think he NEEDED the gold plates either. They're just physical objects. Things of a spiritual nature are so much more powerful and capable than anything we humans can create. We think computers are cool, they have nothing on revelation.

Joseph was quiet, and they couldn't see him, only Joseph could. Heavenly messengers often are not seen by the wicked, or those who are not prepared spiritually, for whatever reason. Apostles aren't bad men, but a story went around that one was in the school of the prophets and saw a man walk through the group and Joseph Smith noticed he saw "him" and asked, "did you see him?" he said he had, and told him it was Heavenly Father, no one else saw him... the Apostles went on their first mission and Christ was physically with them, and they saw him not....

The idea of expanding one's ability to see more of the electromagnetic spectrum agrees with Elisha asking the Lord to open his servant's eyes so that he could see those who were gathered to fight in their defense. I'm so glad I gave Kwaku some time to develop his theory. Why, you might ask? Because I've thought this way for a while except I wasn't thinking in terms of a larger visual spectrum, but more of vibrations. I also have thought of what was described as "Google Drive" except it couldn't be used to target you with ads or tell everyone your secret internet cache. So for me, I can get on board and it makes a lot of sense to me. Especially after reading what Joseph wrote about God the Father being the most intelligent of all the preexistent beings. For a very long time, I've believed that true religion and true science will never contradict. But as most of us know, science has become as political as anything else so how individuals like the bloviating Dr. deGrasse Tyson have a political agenda and interpret science based on the worldview. Cool stuff.

@8:02 Fascinating concept. I recall a Bishop from my youth wondered aloud once if that's how Christ may have escaped the tomb, was by just atomically vibrating at a different frequency to what pop culture would now recognize as a phase shift through solid objects kind of thing. Neat-o!

The topic seems to be How Joseph Smith rewrote physics. It is contemplated in a book “Joseph Smith as Scientist” written a hundred years ago and available free and directly on the Internet. I have read this slim book three times. I will reach out to Kwaku on his channel with some specific quotes as soon as I have a chance to review the digital version book again All so true Great podcast. Thanks.

I believe this goes along with Lehi being able to see and understanding the writing on the liahona. Also Joseph had the ability to bring others ie Sidney Rigdon into visions with him.

I actually agree with this, because all is frequency. The spirit frequencies. I listen to a lot of stuff about demons and angels, it all checks out.

28:35. Elder Bednar actually talked about this in a Q&A session. It’s a great video; it’s titled “Revelation and the Holy Ghost”

There’s a very readable/comprehensible book by Aaron D Franklin called the Spiritual Physics of Light. I think he’s like a computer engineer something or other that works with light (since all electromagnetic radiation/radio waves/cell phones/wifi/etc are light, and computers definitely use such things), and is a member of the church. He doesn’t go into the collective consciousness theory like Kwaku, here, but he presents the physical properties of light next to his ideas about the correlating spiritual properties of light. Not as woo-woo by half as Kwaku’s ideas, but an interesting read all the same!

I came up with a similar theory, just like Kwaku’s, when I was in highschool. Also, another interesting tidbit is the concept of frequency as medicine… or healing. Look into what’s being done with frequency therapies… Einstein once said the “Future medicine will be the medicine of frequencies.”
