"my roots are not greasy" = words I have never uttered

With this video you have seriously discovered America for me! I don't know why, but I've never heard that 2nd hair can refreshed with a bit of blow drying; or that dry shampoo works better with the blow dryer. So here I am with three day hair and it looks amazing! I followed most of your steps and I looked a million bucks at the party. The hair curling trick you showed not to have tight curls is neat, too. Thank you so much for making this video and for sharing your knowledge with us 🙏🙏🙏.

The way her hair looks even in the beginning of the video is even better than mine. My hair is naturally very thick and heavy and it feels like it gets greasy after a day of washing 😫

Kate, you really should switch to 100% silk. After about 2 weeks, you'll notice a MASSIVE difference in your hair and face. I promise!! I order mine from a place online and they offer free color swatches. They're amazing and I've bought several for the other women in my family, who now also swear by it. Also, you'll never wake up to lines on your face or frizzy hair again. Just a suggestion!

Very well done, but it's so much time spent on refreshing I may as well wash or just rinse it and do the normal dryer brush routine or blow dry and pin it up.

My hair will just not hold a loose curl no matter how many different ways I try to do it! It only wants to hold really tight curls and then the next day it ways looks how I want it to once it's loosened up 😫

Does that "dry conditioner" also help with the static we get in our hair during the winter months? If not: do you have a suggestion for that? I live in Northern New England: we have VERY long, cold winters with lots of snowy/windy weather........really reaps havoc with our hair.

Silk Drops! Ulta usually has little sample-size bottles for $1 around Christmas. I buy 5 and they last me the whole year. A dime to nickle sized amount finger combed through the ends works so well for smoothing!
@alinatherese11155 жыл бұрын
Also spray hairspray on a brush and brush your hair. Or dryer sheet! Keep in your purse(smells nice) but run over hair and boom
@emic1388 жыл бұрын
hi! I love your hair. I noticed that after you curl each section, you comb it out and then twirl it again. can you explain why you do this? thank you! :)
@emilydidier58578 жыл бұрын
It loosens and smooths the curl to brush through it. But to keep the curl, she twirls it afterwards.

Any tips on how to refresh naturally curly hair, without having to brush it out first? Thanks!
@talfarone6 жыл бұрын
I am on the hunt for a wet refreshing spray with some mild dry shampoo/deodorizing properties. My hair texture is similar to yours, but when I wake up I have distinct parts on the side of my head from side-sleeping. I have always just used a spray bottle of water to spray my roots and a hit blow dryer, to sorta “steam” out weird bends or parts. Any suggestions in a product like this? Does it exist?

Is there a reason to the alternating of the curls? I am just curious. I also wanted to ask, I have 1 side of my head that does not curl as well as the other. Do you have any ideas for how to get it to cooperate?
@phoebs3148 жыл бұрын
The reason for alternating is to avoid all of the curls sticking together and it gives a better texture. As far as one side not curling, I'll let Kate take that one!
@taliahunt32138 жыл бұрын
sometimes you are better at curling one side than another and thats why one can look a bit limp compared to your second side. You also might have thinner hair on one side (like me) and that could contribute. You can try curling towards, away from your face or alternating and see what suits you best
@emilydidier58578 жыл бұрын
You could also spray that particular side with a lighter holdhair spray and let it completely dry before curling.

I wish my hair looked half as good as yours on day 2! Mine is so fine and oily I can't stand it! Plus I work from home and I am LAZY - so my greaseball hair only gets washed once or twice a week. Eek! (My poor husband is so tolerant - I can get pretty gross! 😂)
