How To Remove 2014-2019 Chevy Silverado 1500 Grill Front Bumper and Headlights

Cliff had a minor scrape with his 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and needs to replace some of the front end components. So we created a video showing how to remove your Grill, Headlights, and Front Bumper yourself!
This is a complete step by step guide which will you show you every bolt and clip location that you will need to access and how to remove the components once they are free.
This guide should also work for the GMC Sierra and be similar for the Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon, and Cadillac Escalade.
We will be publishing another video soon which shows how to remove the bezel from around the factory headlight.

Would I be able to swap out my grille and headlights from a 2015 to a 2016-18? I really like the new grille and headlights on them

You also need to swap the fenders and hold. I've seen a lot of full sets for sale online for like 2-2.5K and if yours are in good shape you should be able to sell them. Now I'm not sure if what everything bolts up to underneath is the same but I am pretty sure it is. Just to a lil research first

do you have to completely replace the headlight if the plastic covering the headlight bulb is damaged?, or is the plastic replaceable?

I watched your video on the bezel removal , what did you have to do to paint the chrome grill ?

So the interior honey comb of my grille was swapped for the base, matte black plastic. A body shop painted the cross bars and bezels. I am not sure the exact process they used. I'll ask them next time I swing by. You do have to be careful with chipping of the chrome. If you can find a vinyl that matches, that is probably a better alternative

I know this may seem like a weird question, is it possible for the 2016-2018 grill/headlights fit a 2014?

Yes it will but it requires an entire conversion of hood, bumper, and fenders too believe. If you do it tho, I would be interested in your old parts lol

so at 5:52 in your video, you show how you need to angle the bumper to get it off....the bumper on my 2015 is basically at that angle now (without bolt removal), due to an unfortunate country road where I got stuck and had to hard reverse. The skirt at the bottom of the bumper was basically a scoop and got jammed up in mud as I reversed and my bumper is angled up like your hand. I removed the skirt (its toast), and was hoping I could just remove and reinstall bumper...any advice?

That stinks :( you may be able to get the bumper off without removing the other parts but most likely reinstalling will require removing the other parts as well

@@TheSundaeDrive right thats what I was thinking, this video is one of the better ones I have seen for the process. It feels like the bumper could just push back up, but no go. I am pretty sure removal is needed. Question: Are headlight assembly removals required to get front bumper off / get to some bolts?

Honestly can't remember :( should be able to tell from going through the video of where the bolts are in the bumper too see if they need to be removed.
