Most helpful video I've found, been looking through other videos for days that are longer, yet only include half the detail of all the connections, locations, etc that you did. Had the pleasure of several sensors going out at the same time on my L59 (an upstream o2, rear knock, and cam pos) which caused really advanced timing that junked the cam lobes and made a lifter break into a dozen pieces. Since I'm in a pinch to get the truck running again, this has been extremely helpful. (found a replacement L59 local for $350 to throw at it this weekend)

Update, I'm on a different account, but it's turning out good so far. Got the engine ready to pulled. Got a used 5.3 gonna swap over the 706 heads for the 799 then drop er in. I had a bit more of a headache on the trailblazer. The 4x4 front diff bolts to the oil pan so dealing with the front end slowed me down a bit.

I think you might be able to leave it on but the chains might get in the way (and possibly damage it). Honestly I would recommend taking it off (because there’s a ton of stuff that would be almost impossible to get to with it in the way) and getting a lift plate, it makes it a lot easier and gives you more clearance to get the engine over the front clip. Check out my other video for reference of the plate >>> Datsun 280ZX LS Engine Swap - Speedway GM LS1/LS6 Engine Weld In Motor Mounts - NV1500 Transmission . Best of luck!! 🤙
