at 7:45 mark u can see that this is driver side, but the viens of the rotor are facing down with new rotor. at the beginning of video on same driver side front at 2:26 the viens were facing up( directional) i think he put right on left and left on right, which will cause premature warping not being able to dissipate heat fast enough

friend, please don't push the piston directly with the new rotor surface... do it at the beguinning like the good way you start it... ;)

Do you actually need to take the caliper off if you were to just do the brake pads? Or could you just push the pistons against the rotor and slide them in like you did here

Negative. Only take off caliper when replacing rotor.

Do you need to torque the caliper bolt?

Yes it is recommended to torque your calliper bolts to manufacture specifications
