Exploring Climate Solutions through Historical Automobile Technology: A Reflection on CO2 Mitigation
In the ongoing fight against global warming, the critical need to reduce atmospheric CO2 levels cannot be overstated. An unconventional viewpoint suggests that the reintroduction of leaded gasoline automobiles manufactured before 1975 could potentially benefit both Detroit and America.
While past environmental concerns surrounding the acid rain generated by these vehicles were significant, a contemporary perspective emerges. This viewpoint proposes that leaded gasoline vehicles, acting as CO2 sinks, could play a role in removing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.
Upon contemplating this perspective, I find myself revisiting a previous post. However, my sentiments have taken a more somber turn after watching the attached video. This prompts me to ask a poignant question: Which poses a greater threat to human lives, leaded gasoline, or global warming?
Given this dilemma, it becomes crucial to explore alternative methods for removing CO2 from the atmosphere. Acknowledging the potential adverse effects of lead in the environment since the 1920s raises concerns about its perceived impact on the cognitive abilities of the population.
Observing your presence behind a window as an inner-city landlord, I'm reminded of the prevalent sight of vacant houses with broken windows in the 1980s and 1990s. Interestingly, this phenomenon ceased within a decade. I've been given the impression that legal abortion, starting in 1973 coinciding with the cessation of leaded gasoline automobiles in 1975, may be a contributing factor.
Shifting gears to another perspective, the positive trend in reducing crime rates was not due to the legalization of abortion for unwanted unborn babies but rather the discontinuation of leaded gasoline usage in 1996.
As a former NY Right to Life Party member, I find myself emotional now, as I previously believed, based on information received, that the decline in crime rates was linked to legal abortion. However, it turns out that the reduction was attributed to the cessation of lead in gasoline.
Sincerely,
