Awesome video mate. Just one thing. Your washers on the side bushes are backwards. They are not supposed to encapsulate the bush. Cup facing away from the bush and the round facing torwards the bush.

Great videos doing same kit 187k today don't know if will make any difference but noticed superpro instructions say - front bushes cup washer concave side should be facing outwards in relation to the bush.

Do you need the large washers? And is it possible to do this job on a territory without removing the cradle? Great video.

I just reused the washers and I'm pretty sure there is no way to change the bushings without dropping the cradle.

There is a way some will offer. It involves using a hole saw and is imo butcher work. This demo is the 'right' way to do it.

Great video, I was going to get a mechanic to do the ones in my territory but after watching this I might do it myself. I lost my job so I need to watch my money, plus I have plenty of time to do it myself. Is the superpro bushings too firm? Some people say use the OEM rubber ones? What are your thoughts?

Legend mate I will have to do this one day and this will help me dramatically ! I heard somewhere there is a trick to putting the tail shaft back in ? Or putting a white mark on it where it is installed at the moment ?
@berserkgarage4218
@berserkgarage4218 4 жыл бұрын
Just make sure you put TWO marks where the tail shaft and diff meet. If you want to take things further put the same bolts back in the holes they came out off.

@@berserkgarage4218 Im about to start the same job you've described here, but without a hoist. I think Ive got it sorted, but its good to know you're still keeping an eye on your videos and messages. I might be needing to get back to you. Fortunately, during these times, I've got plenty of time to do this properly. Thanks mate.

@@Undullah little tip when reinstalling the cradle, the 4 mount bolt put some old hose around the bolts to align the diff cradle up about 2 inch longer than the bolts they will go through the holes in the cradle and save damaging the bolts

Thanks for the video, I came here because I've just had this done on 2013 FG . The shudder when changing from 1st and 2nd gears has gone and I'm happy as, however it feels like the car has a slight shudder when it sits at 80kmph/1500 revs. Am I imagining this or could it have affected my car? Or would it be nothing to do with the bush replacement process? Thanks 😊

Hey mate, is it worth replacing the bolts? Saw a post and some guy said that the need to be replaced when doing bushes, also is there specific torque settings for putting cradle back in?
@berserkgarage4218
@berserkgarage4218 4 жыл бұрын
Hey mate, for my application I just reused the bolts. In saying that the bolts were in good condition and the threads were fine. I applied thread locker to the cradle bolts and diff bolts. I did not use torque specs to tighten the bolts down, I just used a breaker bar untill the bolts were firm and then went another half turn. In my application the car is completely stock and has had no problems since installation of the bushings. I hope this helps cheers.
