Great video, disappointing that this problem occurs as every single aftermarket front bush manufacturer calls out the installation depth of the bushes in the instructions. RTFM. I wound up with less noise and vibration after going to the ims hat. Keep up the good work IMS.

Make a bush press tool for the correct depth of the bushes and include them in your kits and add $100 onto the price. Done.

Great video. I noticed you replaced the pinion bushes with SuperPro ones. Are they hybrid ones? Have you received any complains for SuperPro diff bushes? Thank you.

I had my 2010 FG Falcon rear bushes done fully with Nolathane and now it clunks on left side over bumps and tailshaft whining at about 80 kph upwards

Great but of engineering !!!!! I only wish I could fix my fg vibration ... Diff bushes are good , replaced blade bushes , new tyres , Swapped out another tailshaft ... Still got vibes at 60 , 80 and 100 .

can you guys design an adjustment upgrade to the original design so in the future you can adjust for wear, or maybe adjust for installation so you dont have to grind off anything

Good video. Just a question, what are the main benefits of your diff hat? Thanks
@IndependentMotorsports5 жыл бұрын
The major benefit is removing the poorly designed factory diff hat for one that offers a more stable rear end as it spreads the load more evenly but their are many more benefits
@darrensice15504 жыл бұрын
Is this the same for bf xr6 and if you do one bush then it’s better to do all three as in those two and the big centre one thanks for any info as I to my car to someone and they said we only had to change the centre one

Thanks for the video but I have a couple of questions. Wouldn't the bushes being installed too shallow affect ANY diff, with or without the twin bush hat? It would seem to be a problem in either case so it looks like those who install your diff hat are using the opportunity to install the nolothane bushes and then blame your diff hat, not knowing that improper installation of the outrigger bushes would give the same problem with the standard diff hat. In any case I will keep it in mind when I have your diff hat installed because I will also be having nolothane bushes installed everywhere at the same time. Is there a nolothane bush that fits your bush hat? Would you recommend using nolothane there?

I'd never use nolathane, they're shit, oem rubber or superpro. The reason is nolathane doesn't last very long at all. Ask anyone who has been servicing or inspecting vehicles....
@whakatu4life285 Жыл бұрын
@@dylandesmond Lol have had em fitted to a BA turbo for over 11 years with no issues, now have em in G6ET, FGna and FGX XR6 Sprint. Wouldn't touch superpro as they are crap lust like the OEM ones.
@whakatu4life285 Жыл бұрын
Just do all 3 in Nolathane but fit correctly and your all good unless your pushing massive power through the rear

iv bought your kit for my fgx xr6t through golebys but they didn't have the front bushes in stock. I'm still waiting for it to turn up, does it come with superpro bushes installed in the new diff hat? Also should I replace my front bushes with stock ford rubber or get superpro? Is there different grades of superpro bushes you use in front bushes? Thanks
@IndependentMotorsports2 жыл бұрын
We just use the Super Pro front bushes. We have them on our website. Regarding the bushes on the diff hat, that is something you do not need to change.
@farmer32422 жыл бұрын
What's the story with the springs? do they come loose and come out when you undo the shocks? do you pop them back in before re connecting shocks upon reassembly? also what sort of saw do you use to cut the top bracket off? there's not much room up there. thanks

We use an electric saw. The Springs just fall out when you undo the sub fram

The obvious question now is, does using your twin bush diff hat allow you to use the OEM Ford bushes in the outriggers in the subframe? The reason I ask, is sometimes people use Nolathane bushes to stop factory bushes flogging out. Now you've addressed why they flog out with your twin bush hat, then is it better to use Nolathane or OEM style? You see if I buy your kit, I'm going to rebush the entire rear end and fit an LSD all at the same time and I don't want to take the cradle out again after that if at all possible. If you say use Nolathane I'll use Nolathane, if you say use OEM then I'll use OEM.

The factory ford bushes work good for cars that are used as a daily.
@farmer32422 жыл бұрын
So if you don't change those outrigger bushes at the time of installing your diff hat then basically you can't get it wrong. Because the outriggers are already in the correct place. Then later down the track when you have to replace the outrigger bushes you must make sure you press in the bushes to the correct spot. Is this a fair comment??? Do you sell the outrigger bushes with the kit? My car has 30,000 kms on it so I only want to replace diff bush with your setup. My outrigger bushes are probably still fine. But do you always replace outrigger bushes at the time of replacing the diff hat?? Thanks for great info.
@IndependentMotorsports2 жыл бұрын
Yes you would be correct, you will need to double check everything just to be 100% sure. If you're bushes are good then there is no need to change them out.
@farmer32422 жыл бұрын

Great job well explained so why not come up with a feeler gauge setup to get the gap right for the clearances then as you tighten install the bushes people need to watch your videos and self educate themselves one don't go to Bunnings to buy your meat but as you say a lot of uneducated people especially if their watching the disney channel LOL learn a lot from there

may not have replicated the factory pinion angle so the diff doesn't line up in a straight line with the tail shaft any more
@Captaincappy11772 жыл бұрын
@@johnzaffina6921 is there a way to tell if its not lined up properly without dropping the cradle?
@johnzaffina69212 жыл бұрын
@@Captaincappy1177 download a protractor app on your phone if you can, if you dont already have a electric one or similar. use it to measure the front half of the shaft, then hold a steel ruler up against the bottom of the pinion flange to provide a solid surface to measure the angle on the pinion. they should be the same

I don't understand how you could not realise that the outriggers were hitting. I'm not a mechanic and even I realised that the bushes weren't in the right spot when I did mine.

Buy a Holden falcons rear end is the worst designed peace of shit ever created coming from someone who owns a xr6T and has spent thousands trying to get it to shut the fuck up seriously who makes a design where you have to remove whole rear of a car to take a diff out costs over a grand just in labour to get the rear end off to do anything with it do yourself a favour and buy a Holden
@dylandesmond Жыл бұрын
I did. Took 1hr to lift territory up on stands, use floor jack with my Plywood mold to stop the cradle from rocking, cut out old bushes with sabre saw and use threaded bar to press in new bushes... 1hrs work... I didn't even have to take the tires off... I've done quite a few however. If 1 was to pull the cradle out you're looking at another 20mins taking off the tires to remove the brakes to put the tires back on to roll it out (if you have high enough car stands)...
