Greetings, fellow cyclist. Today we received a bike with a very dirty and rusty chain in our bike shop. Keeping your chain clean and lubricated is an important task for every cyclist, because a well-maintained bike is more pleasant to ride and easier to pedal. Das Wichtigste fehlt am Anfang: Kettenlängung mit einer Lehre oder Messschieber überprüfen. Die gezeigte Kette dürfte sich durch Abrieb in den Gelenken bereits über die Toleranzgrenze gelängt haben, wodurch ein Tausch gegen einen Neue angesagt ist und die ganze Reinigung für die Katz' ist. Das sieht man schon auch schon an den Rillen an dem mit dem Nietgerät herausgedrücktem Stift. Bekanntermaßen nutzen sich sonst die Zähne der Ritzel der Kassette so stark ab, dass dann wenig später diese mit der Kette getauscht werden muss, weil eine neue Kette deshalb dann springt. Kassetten kosten heute meistens ein Vielfaches einer Kette, sodass ein rechtzeitiger Tausch der Kette viel Geld sparen kann.

Vielen Dank für Ihren Kommentar. Es ist zu spät, um die Kette auf diesem Fahrrad zu ändern, ist die Kassette bereits abgenutzt. Daher bleibt es zu waschen, schmieren und fahren, und dann ändern Sie alles zusammen.

There's still rust inside your chain... The brush with the drill is good for the outside of the chain but do nothing for somewhere else. Put your chain in a derust bath (many product out there) overnight and rinse in the morning.

Hello! The chain is best cleaned by refined gasoline, we call it "galoshes", so I understand that the analog is coleman (camping) fuel

Przy smarowaniu łańcucha na końcu widać rudy nalot po wew. stronie ogniw. To było nagrywane przed czyszczeniem? 🙂 A tak w ogóle, oglądam te filmy dla przyjemności, chociaż tak na prawdę nie potrzebuję. Lubię tę dokładność. Może to też kwestia braku muzyki i zbędnego gadania. Niestety w serwisach liczy się raczej czas i nikt nie chce się bawić w czyszczenie i smarowanie jakiegoś tam wolnobiegu, czy bębenka. Ja to rozumiem z punktu widzenia ekonomicznego dla klienta, chociaż z ekologicznego jest to po prostu marnotrawstwo zasobów, ale tak to już wszystko jest budowane. Jak się chce, zeby nie było luzów, było wszystko dobrze nasmarowane, to i tak nowe komponenty trzeba rozkręcać i jest to raczej dla hobbystów i perfekcjonistów. Dlatego serwisuję sam 😁.

Dziękuję za opinię. Czasami niektóre skomplikowane i kosztowne prace w warsztacie są odpowiednie. Na przykład nie zawsze jest możliwe znalezienie zamiennika freehub, a jeszcze droższe jest ponowne nakręcenie koła z nową piastą. Nie da się założyć nowego łańcucha na stare zębatki, więc lepiej reanimować stary.

The inside of the chain was still rusty though? Maybe if you get a stainless steel bore brush to attach to the drill so you could get rid of the rust inside?
