"You do not have to remove the engine for repair!" Kinda wish I hadn't gone to the bathroom when he said that. I'd love to meet the genius who put the pump on the back of the engine though. Give him a good pasting.

Easy job with engine out but without removing engine it's a nightmare especially on 654 engines

Do you have any suggestions for w212 e220 2010, pressure pump is leaking. Is it a big job, do you think engine need to be removed for replacing pressure pump? Any suggestions please

If no need to remove the engine why the you work on is removed Do you know there is no space to use the tool when the engine on the car

Same issue and mechanic is suggesting me its pressure pump is leaking and not sure if need to remove whole engine to replace it

The V6 Diesel Mercedes have problems with High pressure fuel pump. You don‘t need to replace it. Take it out and you will see from the inside some bolts that get loose with time and mileage. You just have to tight these bolts and reinstall the high pressure pump again.
