Hope it's no bother, but how did it go? Considering doing my friends 2017. Was it front or all wheel drive? And did you have to program or reset anything in the TCM?

@@Heat0ne pretty straight forward, I followed this video series and everything worked. I seem to remember running some diags on my scan tool. But the best news is we traded her out of that Rouge and into a Subaru Crosstrek last weekend. It was all wheel drive. It's doable with a lot of help from this video series. Good luck.

i pretty sure you can do it, it takes about about 6 hours. Maybe spend a day to remove the air filter, battery and electrical. and another day for the subframe, exhaust and a last day to take the transmission off completely. I'm pretty sure and confident you can do it.

Maybe, then again, you’ll have to disconnect the fuel line, more harnesses, remove the rest of the engine mounts, coolant lines, vacuum lines. The way I like to do it. If I’m removing the engine, I’ll just take the transmission off as well (because the engine is much heavier, trying align it with the transmission, and the transmission do not have that much wirings and hose to disconnect). And if I’m taking the transmission off, I’ll leave the engine alone, and it also depends on the type of the cars.

@@ryumerk9939 the concern I have with the transmission belt has rubber in it. Overtime, it will be stretched out. I was able to purchase the rebuilt kit from Nissan dealership. I'm sorry, I do not have a place to recommend you to at this moment.

so sorry to hear that, did you change your transmission fluid as recommended per the manual? Honestly, I think even you change the transmission oil at the right the correct intervals, it will still go bad. Because, the CVT has a rubber+metal that replaces the old gears.
