How to Repair a Stuck Watch Winder

Күн бұрынRepairing a generic watch winder that is used for winding up mechanical watches. This one has a dirty gear mechanism probably due to years of use. There is some slight deterioration of the drive belt but it is still usable. Just a little cleaning was able to get it to work again!

This gave me exactly what I needed to fix my programmable Orbita, and my gearing mechanism was identical to what's in the video. I disassembled, cleaned, relubed, and my winder now starts consistently without a nudge.

I opened it from the back side sort of. I need a new timing belt though, mine is torn. No idea where to find one that is the same size
