Good info. You mentioned the clear lenses. Super glue or regular model glue will fog up the clear lenses. There are specific glues for clear pieces that do not fog. Also, using super glue near clear pieces will also fog up the clear parts as the super glue dries, the fumes will travel and fog the clear pieces. Just a heads up.

This happened to a spoiler on one of my Ignition models and I was able to fix it in a similar way. I was so sad when it happened and so relieved when it was an easy fix. Great idea sharing this info with us!

Another great vid man! Simple fix but if you're part of the hobby something you will def come across. You should sell that other model as a crash scene into track wall piece lol

Tamiya polishes and their polishing cloths. the absolute best for polishing model paint, acrylic cases, windows, etc. removes scratches so well.

Bob Smith Industries Super Gold is a fume free super glue that doesn't frost things. their Kicker spray is great to speed up curing. just drip it on the spot after gluing. and clear stuff like lenses and such...you can often use Aleene's Clear Gel Tacky Glue...sort of like white glue but doesn't yellow or become brittle. of course no fumes, either.

Hi I have a Burago Bentley Continental GT3 1/24. The wheel/tire broke off of the rear left side. Can this be repaired?

It's an interesting video but I have a doubt, a few days ago I bought a Lamborghini Aventador SVJ 1:18 scale from Autoart and it came with the left part of the spoiler broken and the steering wheel completely fallen off, this made me very disappointed and my question is can I go back to glue the steering wheel without compromising the steering movement of the wheels?

This is an interesting video. I also use super glue though I prefer Loctite gel superglue because it is easy to work with and doesn't produce the fumes that cloud windshields. I have reattached parts, that have fallen or broken off. This is no problem if the part in question is still present and was put on the model in the first place but just fell off during transit. However, what aggravates me is having a part not there at all. What do I do about that? Case in point, I recently purchased a Road Signature 1:18 1955 Ford Fairlane Crown Victoria, an otherwise beautiful model, but the fact, that the drivers-side headlight lens is missing detracts from its perfection.

In those instances, it is best to contact your reseller or where you bought it from immediately. They should be able to work with the parent company to get the new part for you.

I never or very rarely use superglue on models. I use a type of glue called Canopy Glue as it drys clear. It can be safely used for things like lenses and 1:18 resin windows. It won't cause any discolouration in those parts.

Superglue is fine for this application though, as long as only a small amount is used, as was mentioned in the video. It will likely hold stronger. Definitely no superglue near any clear parts as you mentioned though. There are plenty of glues for that but they won't be as good as superglue in general use.

I just got a Ford Bronco model from Goodwill for $1.17. However, it needs seats, doors, and top. The rear door isn't closing all the way. The rest is good. How do I fix the seats, doors, and top. Where can I get the parts? Thanks, Britt

What would you use for a cracked A pilar on a 1:18 car (also the t-top frame and door hinge of this Trans AM)? I tried JB Weld… nope. Bondo? CA glue? Solder? Any ideas would be appreciated (from anyone). Yes, it’s the Smokey and the Bandit 77 Trans AM. Thanks.

This happened to me with the factory diorama from ignition model. Seems like they used cheap acrylic hot glue. Some pieces came off and damaged a bit of the paint. Would be nice if they put a fragile label on the box too. So is any decent CA glue the preferred choice when repairing?

Should I remove the remaining glue from surfaces before applying the CA glue or leave it? What would be the best way to remove that cheap glue they used?

I have a perhaps stupid question... How do I remove those frames around the base of the 1/18 scale IG model? I bought an LBW supra and the plastic frames around the base are super tight and I just can't find a way to remove it 🥲

Man, I honestly thought I put together a video on how to do that but it seems I only scripted it but never shot it! Haha If you flip the model car upside down, you'll notice the two snapping points on either side these are the areas you need to pull off and away from to get the uprights to release. I'll put together a video for it if you dont want to risk it.

I try not to use super glue for these kind of fix. If I do use super glue, I have to use it together with the instant dry, otherwise it might leave those white residues:( I think the best glue for the dicast model fix is E6000, cause it dry clear and very strong. But sometimes, you have to find a way to use it
