a wheel bearing tool kit and slide hammer also makes this super easy. but you do need to make sure the hub sits all the way otherwise the rotor and caliper will not go back on properly and bind up(I made this mistake)

Does make a growling noise before it got to this freeplay stage? I thought that usually occurs first?
@tyoung8723 Жыл бұрын
Just curious, how long did the hubs/bearings last?
@packerman1203 Жыл бұрын
Im gonna guess this works for basically every honda ever with this front suspension setup, hub on top of a bearing that has a snap ring in the knuckle tools required: whatever sockets it takes to get the knuckle off including the axle nut, ball joint puller, big hammer, and a big ass hydraulic press. I'm 3 for 4 on that one.

Chinese bearing. Won’t last long. Don’t ask me how I know..
@BoBuilds4 жыл бұрын
How do you know lol
@mebibyte93474 жыл бұрын
How do you know? Did you have a bad experience with one? Is there a brand that you would recommend?
@ivanmanist4 жыл бұрын
I used Chinese bearings on my 1999 Acura Integra and only lasted six months. Go with the Japanese OEM supplier brand named “KOYO”. Roughly $75 on eBay for both bearings. The hub can be reused, but it also doesn’t hurt to replace them. Remember, your old bearings lasted 150k+ miles; do it right the first time so you won’t have to do it again. Best of luck!

@@ivanmanist He's right, not all bearing are created the same.
@Mike-nf6nf2 жыл бұрын
@@ivanmanist Yup. My NTN bearing lasted over 150,000 on my 1998 Civic LX. KOYO is the other OEM option according to the Honda parts site I visited.
