Customer had a boiler service and the engineer spotted a new AAV was required but ddnt have one on the van so wanted to charge for a second visit to supply and fit one and the customer lost faith so I was called in…
Here’s a quick step by step how to replace one even when the manufacturers preferred method fails…

All nice. I would also put a towel over the fan and vent the flow connection through the tube into a small container until it stops spluttering. Nice video 👍

I allways use a small wire brush to remove alot of crap around the airvent.

That nib thing on them aav’s is another one of things that must have seemed like a great idea when they manufactured the boiler and wrote the book but in real life Never Works!! EVER
