I had to replace the knock sensors because the check engine light was on and they would not inspect it. You have to remove the intake to replace them.

Knock sensors are torqued to 20 N-m (15 lb ft). The intake bolts should have a first torque of 5 N-m (44 lb in) and final torque of 10 N-m (89 lb in). Alternate your torque from side to side but the specific order from passenger front going clockwise is 10, 4, 1, 5, 8, 9, 3, 2, 6, 7.

Side mount them on outside of block, save you a lot of time...

Why do this the hard way. Search KZfaq for relocating knock sensors. 5 minute job. Save your customers money.
