So, just got my fuel injectors from 1A Auto yesterday, and put them in today. This video helped me quite a lot, and am very appreciative that you guys took the time to make this video. I did notice that once i got my air intake out of the way, that my ignition wires and loom were crowding the fuel rail awfully. I recommend anyone who goes to do this themselves to, first mark and label the sets of ignition wires for each cylinder, then removing them and the loom to give yourself more work space. If you like tackling the hard stuff first, I'd recommend starting on the driver side first, at the rear of the block. passenger side was fairly simple with the exception of the 3rd cylinder back has very little room to work with because of the intake manifold. Ecstatic I did this, my truck starts up like it's brand new again, runs like a champ. Notice about 1-2 MPG gains in city... Cant wait to go on my road trip! Thanks 1A Auto!!!

This video HELPED me a great deal. My 2004 Durango had a hard start problem ONLY when the vehicle was hot, had to press gas pedal to get it to start. Cold starts were fine. I replaced a bunch of parts and finally decided to replace ALL 8 injectors on my 2004 Durango 5.7 Hemi and that FIXED my “Hot, Hard Starting” issue !! THANK YOU 1A AUTO, 😊

When removing any small clip like your injector one, or trans line ones at radiator or similar, if metal, have good magnet handy next to it. That way if it goes zinggggg, it should be caught by magnet.

Can I do this with a half tank to replace one injector? I'm sure some gas will spill but I'll try and have a cloth to collect. Going to do this on a 09 ram 1500 v6

Fuel pump “fuse” is a solid state relay, at least for say like my 2006 5.7 Ram. You can’t pull it as it’s embedded into a circuit board

@@blacknightgaming8987 True. I Believe the ‘07 used the same TIPM as well. Drove me nuts until I figured my ‘06 didn’t have a fuel pump relay either.

I did this to my 2005 dodge ram 1500 with 4.7. but when I put it all back together my gas gauge went from a full tank to reading empty and the light stays on. It drove fine for 1 day and now it will only run for a few minutes and it dies right out like it has no power at all. Any suggestions on what it might be?

Probably would help if doing all 8, but you have to also remove the other side at the same time so be extra aware of any debris

Watched this video numerous times and realized this dodge does not have ignition coils like mine. Fuel line brackets are not to the left of the rail and easy to get to on my 3.7L Dodge is different. Uugh

Y did he take off the cap on gas tank thats going to pull air in... The he disconnected the harness so when he terns key its not going to empty nothing cuase fuel tank is not connected.dont make sence....

The reason he opened the gas cap is because the fuel tank builds up pressure when closed. By opening it he relieved that pressure. He disconnects the harness so that when he turns the key the pump doesn't try to send fuel to the engine, enabling you to drain the fuel rails and commence working on the injectors. Makes perfect sense, once you understand what each parts process is. :)

He was emptying fuel in the fuel line and fuel rail from the gas tank to the injector rail. Gas cap was off to keep from building pressure in the system why the line was burning the fuel in it. You push the Schrader valve to get rid of the little bit of residual pressure in the rail.

Ridiculous advice. Do NOT use any driver to lift injector connector clips (or ANY like plastic clips). Use your finger only, a little lubricant can help any sticking clips. Do NOT remove injector retaining clips with the fuel rail on the vehicle. Carefully remove the rail (w injectors and clips attached) completely from the intake. You take the clips and injectors off at the bench, not over your engine. JFC. Come on, these are basics here.
