But my glasses don’t have those screws.

you probably figured it out by now, but it seems that they make glasses without those screws now, and you can buy pads that go in without them? i may be wrong and my new pads may fall apart in a couple of months but they may just make different types of glasses with no screws there anymore

Wrap a cloth over the lens to protect it from the screwdriver if it slips out

I read this comment before I saw him slip with the screwdriver. Thanks for that recommendation. That would be me with an accidental scratch.

Thank you for this video! Very helpful. I had a cheap eyeglass kit that I got at the dollar store and it had 2 nose pads in there so I was able to fix my sunglasses easily. :)

I just found you by looking for a video on putting on a screen protector. I wanted to say thank you for making that video. It helped so much. You are great at explaining things.

Not all glasses nose pads are held by a screw. Silicon covered nose pads are usually just held in place with the tension of the nose pad clamp. In these cases you can lever the nose pad clamp open at the point of the thin seam by twisting a very small flat head screw drive to open up the clamp. Then you can push the old ones out and squeeze the new ones in place. Making sure they are the right way up. Then you can squeeze the clamp closed with pointy nose plyers.

Ooh thank you! I was doing everything but for some reason my new pads were not sitting right and i couldn't for the screws in ... Saw your video and decided to check and lo and behold - the little broken piece was still inside! Removed it and the new pad fit in easily!

Do you know what kind of screws are used in the nosepads I have no idea where I can find those now that even I lost the one nosepad

@@almond7795 hmm not sure but you do get tiny screws for watches, those might work? I actually used the nosepad from another broken sunglass, so it already had a screw

Problem is I only have one pair of glasses I can see through, the ones with the broken off nose pad and with glasses off, I see double so guess I’m off to the opticians to get mine fixed. But helpful video for those who can see. 🙂

Thanks very much, that's really informative. When one of the pads on mine fell off I was scared I'll have to fork out substantial amount of money for completely new glasses, but good thing this is easily replaceable. And at home, so I don't have to bother going to a shop. I''m ordering a kit like that now. I guess I'm lucky that I'm short sighted, so I don't need another pair of glasses to work with those tiny things.

Yes ,the video helped me out a great deal ,thankyou the other Screws in that kit from Amazon look like they may be for the hinge on the Arms ? years ago i had a pair of expensive SunGlasses that would loose that Screw often and i bought a repair kit at my local Drug store that had the Screwdriver and a bunch of Screws i put a tiny amount of Loctite on the Screw and it held for years i grew up inSouthFlorida and always wear my Glasses with a Strap or Landyard attached on the ear pieces so that saved losing the Arms and many pairs of Glasses over the years while doing Water Sports and /or Boating Activites BTW i usually buy Croakie brand straps and secure those onto my Eyglass frames with a high strength Dark colored Nylon Thread i actually use for Fishing Rod Repairs

I plum seem to have lost one nose pad so I can't find it and a cleaning of the house did not result in anything. I just recall seeing them yesterday. But when I went to go put my glasses today one nose pad was off and missing. I need help figuring out how to order a new nose pad or nose pads that will fit.

You should use the cleaning cloth to covering the lenses while you messing around with the screwdriver cause you scratching them badly on that way.
