The oil pan holds engine oil to be pumped up to the engine. A leaky or damaged oil pan gasket will lead to low oil levels, or no oil at all, which can cause major damage to your vehicle's engine. This video shows you how to install a new TRQ oil pan gasket on your 2007-13 Chevrolet Avalanche.

While you went through all that I would have replaced the pickup tube O-Ring, those tend to take a set after a few years and you can develop low oil pressure. An easy yet very tedious job, you really need a lift and tranny jack to do this right like you did. Great time to inspect all the moving components, I love my Avalanche.

I had this quoted at a shop today for $600. This kind of disassembly is definitely best for a shop with a lift.

In my city they have bays you can rent an hour with all the air tools,hand tools,lift and a mechanic if needed for questions at 45hr to start. Get your parts, Still cheaper then taking to the shop!.. Crooks...

I wish we had ships like that here… the mechanic told me it would be 400$ to change out a battery… ugh I know I can do it cheaper myself

Might aswell, Change that Oil tube O ring while in there if it's the Factory Original crap one too while your at it

I have a 20 13 avalanche diamond edition. How much will it cost to take it to the shop? I called 2 places one charges 1400 the other 950 . ? What's a decent price ? I live in Atlanta if you can recommend a place

I can’t believe he doesn’t recommend to change the pickup tube and its gasket while in there. Can’t wait to see the customer return for a pick up tube replacement when the oil pressure starts to be an issue, and blame the shop that did the o-ring for the 2nd round of the same labour for no reason what so ever
