1A Auto shows you how to repair, install, fix, change or replace a damaged, worn out, faulty or shorted power window switch. This video is applicable to a 1997 Ford Expedition. This procedure is the same for most 97 to 02 Expedition and 97, 98, 99, 00, 01, 02, and 03 F150 models.
This process should be similar on the following vehicles:

Thank you guys so much. Your willingness to give away trade knowledge to novices like me is above the bar. I especially like the fact that you are real live people who (like in this video) sometimes have to struggle a little to disconnect some of those little clips (see 1:20 through 2:02). I've watched videos where it looks like everything goes so smoothly and easily, then when I try it, I'm struggling. Maybe other guys pre-dissasemble everything. I dunno. But anyway, I appreciate you guys.

If all of the window have stopped working, check the wire harness between the door and body of the truck to see if there's a broken or a frayed wire that needs to be replaced.

You will have to just trace the wire back from the connection. We do not have a video for this at this time.

You may want to see if there's power to the switch first. If there is and there's no power going to the window motor when it's pressed, chances are that the switch is bad. Hope this helps you out. Have a great day! 1aauto.com

You may want to see if there's power to the window motor when you press the switch. You could test it with a test light or an ohm meter. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

only one of my windows doesn't roll down (drivers side) i didn't hear any noise like a mount cracking or something - just odd that only the one window went bad.

Hey Guys! i have a 2003 ford explorer xlt, the power windows don't work...i have looked at the fuses but i don't think that's the issue...is the master switch the same as this video? thanks for the help!

My driverside window will roll down but not up. All other windows that it can control have no problem. Could this be a faulty switch for the driverside window? Or does the door have two motors, one for going up and the other down. I do not want to get a switch if I need to get a motor. I don't have that much mullah... Help

You may want to see if there's power to the window motor and also if the regulator may have broke. You may have to take the door panel off to inspect everything.
