This video shows you how to install a new serpentine belt idler pulley on your 2011-2018 Ram 1500. That squealing noise coming from your vehicle’s engine compartment could be a slipping belt, or it could be a bad pulley bearing, or both. A bad pulley could eventually damage the belt, which could create even further damage.
This repair was done on a 2016 Ram 1500 SLT 3.6L Crew Cab Pickup 4-Door 4WD Automatic and the process should be similar on the following vehicles:
