This video shows you how to install new spark plugs from TRQ on your 2009-2019 Ford Flex. Spark is one of the four required components for an internal combustion engine to run. If your spark plugs are failing, worn, or dirty, you may experience rough starts, rough idle, poor performance, or poor mileage.

I just finished replacing my spark plugs on my 2017 Ford Flex I watched your video step by step it was amazing how easy it was to do. Dealer wanted $800 to do what I just did. I really can’t justify the $800 to do the job, the gasket was in great condition and didn’t have to replace it. Thank you so much for the great video that saved me a ton of money 👍🙏

Thank you for the video, it gave me the confidence to replace the spark plugs on my Flex FWIW here are key differences I encountered on 2010 Limited 3.5L: My vehicle does not have the eco-boost version of the engine! - On passenger front of the intake manifold there is an aluminum support on a metal line screwed in. Once unscrewed the support will rotate / bend out of the way. - The lower hose that travels across the front of the intake manifold is taped to the supports. Cut the tape and apply new electrical? tape when reinstalling. - The two connectors on the air intake hose between the air filter and throttle body are in different locations - There are two hoses connected to the back of the intake manifold. Remove the passenger side hose. You can try to remove the driver's side hose, but the intake can be rotated out of the way without doing so.

I appreciate your video. I watched it entirely, then loaded it on my phone and watched, paused, worked each step. It all went beautifully! I have a 2016 Flex SEL and my intake had an extra wire at the top left corner. I couldn't detach it, so I just flipped it off to that left side while I worked. The Ford dealer said it would be about $800 for them to do it (?!?!?!). With your video and just under $40 of spark plugs, I saved quite a bit doing the work myself. Thanks again!

Amazing step by step. Doing this next weekend due to cylinder 2 misfire. Going to do plugs and coils at 230,000km on a 09 ford flex. Did plugs at 130,000km and 4 original coils still!! Time to get all new

Changed spark plugs and cleaned the throttle body. The p0420 code I've had disappeared. 2010 Flex.

Intake is not budging at all. All 8 bolts are loosened/off. Can't figure out where it is stuck. Anyone has any pointers. Thanks in advance.

It like dry all over the engine show is cleaning off the best of your ability so when you took apart, your inching, don't get contamination in it and you're asking me why cause I'm an engineer

Just a reminder: make sure you inspect the intake manifold gasket METICULOUSLY, I can't tell you how many of these duratecs I've had come in running rough or misfiring after the customer did their own plugs or coils. If there's any dirt or debris or tears or hairline cracks in the gasket, it could let in unmetered air and send your palm through your forehead!
