2003 Acura RSX manual transmission speed sensor is it the same as a 2002 Honda civic SI manual speed sensor and if it is do you have it in stock

I have a 2000 EU Honda Civic with a D17A2 engine with Auto Gearbox. Sometimes when going down highway at 100 kpm it shifts into overdrive with revs sitting at 2500 rpm. But most of the time it doesn't change and sits at 3000 rpm. Would it be the speed sensor or something else ? I had a reconditioned gearbox installed last year.

I’m having issues with the sensor, I’ve replaced it 3 times and each time the plastic part that the bolt goes thru keeps breaking. What could cause it to keep breaking

I have an '01 CRV with the same looking sensor. Mine was actually ejected by force, the bolt was still in there, but the plastic housing cracked and just snapped off.. Do you know what can cause that? When you install the new one, how can you be sure the teeth are lined up correctly? Is there a procedure for that? Great video.

I have a 2002 honda civic ex four door speedometer goes up and down but also the car seems to loose power as well. code p1298 popped up. Will changing the vss help this problem?

+Rodrigo Mejia Yeah, it could be the VSS. But before changing that, check the ELD (electronic Load Detector) in the fuse box under the hood. When that's failing it has similar symptoms, but it's easier to replace so it's a good place to start. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com?KZfaq&CTA%20Comment&ATony 866-403-3393

Hi. I have a question, i replaced with new speed sensor and drove it for 2 miles and then loud sound i stopped to check, and the speed sensor broke like it was shoot out by the tranny, any ideas what could it be?

Before installing, speedometer worked intermittently. was moving but not just stuck on 0. took out the old one and installed new one and now the speedometer doesn’t work at all and the p0500 code is still on? Any ideas? might get some sensor cleaner and clean the connector

I have this Civic model, but the speed it's showing is not correct. So when I'm actually doing 80km/h (checked with calculations and Google Maps), the speedo has to show 100km/h. Or when I'm doing 120 km/h, it has to show almost 140 km/h. Should I try swapping the speed sensor like in your video or could it be something else?

Ok so I've just bought an 02 civic ND same thing when I'm going on 60 I'm actually only doing 52.(Google mapped it) if yiu have speedometer issues check the sensor first if that doesn't fix it it's going to be the gauge itself in the dash

Is this the same? I thought this yellow colored one in the link u sent is only for the manual transmission vehicles and the red colored one is for automatic transmission vehicles!!! Or is it that the both are same and can be used in both auto and manual? Its confusing..plz advice..

Please help! When i bought the car the check engine light came on an the “D” (drive) started blinking so the code that reads is po722 So we changed the speed sensor but the code keeps coming on and the “D” keeps blinking
