Guys, if we searched for this video, we probably needed to know _where_ the starter is!!! Thanks for trying though!

For everyone wondering where the starter is located. It will be in the middle of where your transmission meets the engine. It is a cylindrical unit with a ground wire on the bottom nut. Typically it will be found by your front wheels (my 94 ranger it was on the driver side across from the oil filter, across the transmission housing.) I hope this helps someone

As with all new things. That which is old tends to be replaced with the new. When this video is remade, I hope we can get a better visual on the wires connected to the solenoid.

Is this on a 4 cyl? Because the starter on my Edge 3.0 is much less accessible. The exhaust downpipe is in the way and one of the bolts needs a ratchet with swivel end to get to.

Please make a 4WD 4x4 version of this video! on a Ranger 4x4 4WD , there is NOWHERE NEAR the access to the starter motors that you see here. The front differential is in the way!

Helpful video. Thank you. Only suggestion would be to show how to disconnect the cables. I don’t have as much access and visibility. Would feel more confident knowing how to safely disconnect cables.

This is the sorriest video I've seen. They don't want to show you to much because they want you to buy the manual.

The manual is unclear and full of "see chapter xxx" and go there it says see "6f" of some other mythical source. Manuals are useless for anything other than simple stuff you already know.
