This is a great video that shows great closeups of all the areas and with good explanations of the process.

The crank timing mark on the engine block is really hard to see, but this video showed it really clearly...best I've seen it.

If it’s out of Tim a little, do you rotate each to line up the mark for the new one?

I sent my heads off to the machine shop and when they come back my timing mark on pully on my driver side head won’t like back up when I try to turn my head to make it it spins past it

You need to hold it on Timing

You skipped the most important part for me, the cover.

Amazes me how mechanics have no room to work and can’t even see what they’re working on. I would be throwing tools all over the place out of frustration.

Trust me, we do. And when that small amount of space causes us to drop things we pray to the plinko gods that it falls to the floor.

No water pump ?
@efixes80102 жыл бұрын
Sorry I was busy. If the water pump is not leaking I don’t usually do it.

Right I would think after that much work you might as well
@efixes80102 жыл бұрын
Some people don’t wanna pay the extra 200 or $300 that it involved and those water pumps don’t go to often
@nursegilbey2 жыл бұрын
@@efixes8010 I guess it could depend on your chosen timing belt interval and how closely they relate. 100k for each? Otherwise it is rolling the dice a bit.

Good tutorial but it's very hard to hear with the noise in the background....
