FWIW, this motor fixed my transfer case problems. I was having terrible grinding noises, car dropping out of gear, not going into gear, making huge clunks as it semi engaged in gear and lurched forward. I thought my chain drive was stretched/screwed but I didn't want to tear into the transfer case to diagnose or replace the hole thing. This fixed it all. Your mileage may vary lol. 2008 WK 4.7L

I noticed that you didn't re install the locator plug that is in the bolt hole of the motor that you removed, you can see it at 1.35 in the video, and at 1.50 it is not there on the new motor install. Will this matter ?

Great video. My replacement motor dosent line up, holding the old next to the new the little "line-up" notches are Not in the same positions. Thoughts on how I could line up the new one? Thank you for your time.

Would this part fix my transfer case from it coming out of first gear? My 06 4.7 will go in first but won’t come out of first gear and will rev high and not go into second, thank you

Love the video, I'm having some issues with my transfer case. When I do yhe remote start I hear like a clicking sound then goes away. Then hear it again after I turn or park. You think it's the transfer case motor?

Mine won’t go into 4 Low neutral by using the pen as shown. The N light just blinks red for bit and then stops blinking. Any suggestions?

Does this fix the grinding noise that comes and goes from the transfer case area? I’m not sure if it is the transfer case but I’m hearing a grinding from the rear of my 07 overland, the noise comes and goes

My case stopped shifting service light is on can't reset I haven't got under to verify wiring harness to be ok but I'm assuming shift motor died so can't shift to low or into neutral so I'm assuming to line this up I'd just jack up the vehicle to remove tension off drive shafts and turn the spline by hand until case is neutral then install new shift motor ?

Can a bad Transfer case shift motor puts my car into limp mode? I am getting C140F code "Transfer case range position sensor erratic performance". Randomly I get Transmission Over Temp and the 05 WK 5.7 would go into limo mode (gear# 3). Ive been struggling for 2 weeks to find whats really causing this issue. Thank you

I know you probably won't reply to my comment but how the heck do you get the gear in the correct position to install the new motor? Everytime I try to put it in neutral, the gear is in the wrong position. And at one point I couldn't get my Jeep out of neutral.
