This video shows you how to install a wheel hub and bearing on your 2002-2005 Ford Explorer. Mannnn I just love this dude. He explains everything in complete detail and in a perfectly clear voice! I replace my hub and wheel bearings about a month ago all from his videos. But prior to doing the repairs I brought all the tools I needed to do the job. I even went to Harbor Freight and brought me 2 ton heavy duty floor jack. Next I'll be replacing my CV Boots axles up front. I had the tool just waiting to buy the parts from Amazon. I tip my hat to you man your very knowledgeable about what you do. Thanks a whole lot! This is a great video as it shows you how the wheel bewring replacement procedure is. However, you dont need to unbolt any suspension parts guys. Just make sure to have some extensions a short 15mm socket and a pry bar to push the acle back and clear some space.

I’m assuming you undid upper control arm for easier access to hub bolts, is it necessary if using a wrench and not a gun and socket, l have no time constraints

We have a Ford Explorer 2003, and one mechanic of ours replaced the wheel hub assembly because two of the posts for the lug nuts had fallen off (rusted, I guess), and another mechanic looked at it afterwards and said that wheel hub assembly replacement has serious issue - inside bore diameter is too large - they think that it is missing a sleeve, causing the ball joint to flop around. Do you know how this might have happened?
