How To Reset Acura MDX Clock Radio Under 5min! Works On All 2007-2012 Acura Models
One IMPORTANT thing I forgot to mention.....You will need the reset codes for the GPS and the Radio separately after resetting car battery. Mine was written on the back of a business card and placed inside the glove compartment box.
Reading and doing my own research on this issue with my MDX, apparently it is common with most Acura model years ranging from 2007-2012. The GPS clock is set on Auto-Sync with Radio clock but it just doesnt work. Some say to just drive around for an hour then the GPS will sync it automatically. NOPE! I drove around for days and it still didnt work.
Just Reset the Battery before 1pm local time and you are good to go!

Just did it on my 2007 MDX and it worked! I did think before to do it this way except that I was thinking of doing it before the clock strikes 12 noon and not 1 o'clock. It would have been depressing! Thanks to this video, it saved me stress.

My friend, I just want to let you know how did you get to this idea, but I can tell you are the smartest guy to figure out how to fix this clock. I’ve been through a lot. I called Acura Canada twice I called about three Acura dealers they cannot fix it. I just watch your.KZfaq and I did whatever you said and it works ..Thank you. God bless you and your family

I used to be an autobody repair technician 15yrs ago. I remembered how I had to remove the battery sometimes when doing big repairs. And when I put the battery back on the clock radio would reset to 12noon. So I decided to try, then it worked.

Just remove the Navi fuse and re-insert it at 1:00. Still need to enter the navi code.

To clarify and simplify: This solution must be performed at 1:00 PM because the default reset time for the radio clock is 1:00 PM when power is restored. Correct? If I have this right, can’t the fuse for the radio be pulled then reinstalled…rather than disconnecting the battery? Thanks

I tried pulling the fuse. Didn't reset clock for me. You can unhook the positive or negative on the battery. Do it at least 1min before 1pm. Give yourself enough time to time it right.

Sooo... if you do this the way it is explained in the video, but then you go back into the Nav menu and adjust the clock settings for whatever reason, is it then synced up to the lower clock display and will adjust the clock on the lower display as well? Or do you have to do this all over again?

Unfortunately you will have to set it up again because the nav and the clock are not synced

Doesn't work on my 2007 MDX .. did the battery pull and reconnected at 1pm... And now radio clock stuck at 1:00 and doesnt move. ;(

No, but this way it gives you some time to make sure you do it right. You can unplug it at 12:59.

I'm sure Acura dropped the ball on linking the two systems together and they realized it's too costly to recall every single vehicle to fix this issue. Owners didn't complain enough I guess.

The GPS system has a 1024 week max from it’s “base” date. All these models expired in January 2022!

Ya, it gets annoying doing so after daylight savings twice a year. Pulling the fuse out doesn't work unfortunately.

Im having issues with my 2007 MDX clock as well. I got a new battery installed yesterday and unfortunately it was at night. I will try doing it at 12:55 and see what happens. I hope it works it’s so annoying lol 😂
