If you can't find the code for your brand & model# in the manual, I would just do all the steps and use a different number each time (1 then 2 then 3, etc.) until it works.

Hello. I recently moved into a home that has this but we were not given a code. Am I able to reset without the old code. I noticed you put in "6#" after your new desired code. Is the "6#" your old code?

Yes. Try each number one at a time (1, 2, 3, etc) until you get the right one.

when you chose your garage door code of 6, where did that number come from?

It's based off the specific garage door opener she has, in this case it's the "overhead door legacy" which is code 6. I don't know where she found that number, I couldn't find it in my manual.

Just keep doing it over, each time with a different # (1 then 2 then 3, etc.) When you use the right one it'll work (then write it down somewhere in case you need it in the future if you want)
