When performing regular scheduled maintenance on BMW vehicles, maintenance data has to be updated or reset. For example; mileage based, oil or brake services. Using your iSCAN device you can quickly update, reset or adjust incorrect CBS data.
You can also make a correction to CBS data.
For example, if your customer wants to reduce their oil change interval, you can edit the remaining mileage after a reset to their requested interval or adjust brake pad thickness or interval in the case of an incorrect reset.
On our vehicle, the front brakes have 253 percent. In this example, 253 percent represents a faulty brake pad wear sensor. A correction will not adjust this. Once the sensor is replaced, you can reset the data and add the correct brake pad thickness.
