Thanks for this tutorial. I have been going to the salon to get my baby locs retwisted every month. This month they were booked so I decided to do it myself. I was intimidated at first because I didn't want to mess them up but this tutorial was very simple and straight to the point. I'll wash my hair today and retwist once I get my clips. My scalp gets super dry and flakey. I think I'm going to have to wash and retwist more often than most people even though that may not be a good thing. This does help! I just need to learn how to do it with a comb because some of the one's in the back are real small. I have a lot of locs too, so I will do this on an off day and grab a blow dryer. Thanks!

You did good. I’m about to be two months in however I don’t think I’ll be doing my own til I’m like five months in and they stop unraveling when I wash . I don’t plan on using gel except for on my edges and even then I’ll use aloe Vera . I plan on using rise water and vitamin e oil mixed . This Rasta on here named yannie said that was best . When I go to the shop I hope they will honor me not wanting to use gel . I’ve also been told not to comb through the root however I still will use the comb for parting .

What kind of oil do you use? My man always gets dandruff. I usually use Tea Tree oil or Peppermint oil, but his scalp would get dry literally within 3 days or so.
