Channel Vet: "your BEST video ever!" Dark start at first light, Tru Ryan's morning red skies. Then yellow then purple, through the Gap at 11 thou. Traffic, logistics, construction. Copters, Kodiaks, drone shots, wing shots, doggie escape. Coffee bags, saved backs. New aviators are old? Next line is silver and gold. Sun, clouds, fog on the ground. Rinse and repeat, NEVER gets old.

Departure in the dark, the sunrise, cargo operations, drone shots, helicopter, dog on the runway, all in the middle of the unreal scenery, and the exciting landing as the cherry on top. Fantastic!

This dawn start up is very pleasant! Wow! That sunrise! The airstrips in rural PNG are not for the chicken- livered, I must say. Most seem to sit on top of thin ridges. But the mountains really bring home the joy of flying upcountry. Thanks Captain, my weekend is made.

This is an awesome video on several levels -- the ground activity at both ends, the sunrise, and the flight activity. For a while I had a job that allowed me to see sunrises and sunsets in an area that was flat for miles, and over the months I saw some tremendous color. Sunrises and sunsets (including the one on this video) never fail to move me.

Then more drama as you landed on that sloping strip surrounded by steep drops. Then to be met by more airmen and ground helpers.
