Alex if the screed is thicker then 80mm i would recommend concrete depending on the area. To me thats way tooo thick .

@@QLHTilingWaterproofing Our problem is a bit opposite. Some "specialists" stated that cement + sand screed can be used 25mm and thicker only. If we have from 22 to 12 mm gradient, this traditional screed will fail. As a remedy they offer to use a tile adhesive instead of this traditional one. Is this correct approach? Thank you for your help.

Look mate i am not saying you can’t screed over 80mm but when you do you have to do a bite different to normal screed, its also depends where you screeding is it drive, way bathroom etc For example if it’s going thicker then 80mm you have to add more cement, more efflock to make it more stronger, you have to mash in the screed, you have really compact the screed, so there some some process involved. I hope you understand
