How to select resistor value for LED with simple calculation (Ohm's Law)

In this video, I have explained how to calculate the resistance value for LEDs for different input voltage. It is very important to select right series resistor before using a LED in a circuit otherwise the LED may burnout.

In this video, I have shown how to identify the LED rating from the datasheet and from that rating how to calculate resistance value and wattage required to connect the led in a circuit using ohm law for different input voltages. After calculation the resistance value we have practically measured the voltage and current value with a multimeter and compare it with the calculated data.
Here I have used a 3V led and calculated the resistance value in 9 volts and 12-volt circuit.

I was looking for exactly these calcs for a tiny DC motor application. I think this will only work for electronic loads and not any kind of resistive or power load, although a tiny motor seems like it must be purely inductive, I still cannot get anything to work for the motor. A finely organized and clear video. This should help me going forward as a noob.

Hi thanks for the video. I have some question. If I have a power adaptor with 5V 1A, and a LED with 3V and 0.3A. understand I will need to use a resistor for 2V/0.3 around 6.6ohm. May I know what is the current in the circuit? Is it 0.3A or 1A as the adaptor say the output is 1A?
