Great thanks. HIVE customer support left me with no way to turn on my heating. Thanks to you, i can at least do that now whilst i wait for their solution to come to me in the post (3-5 working days).

I couldn't get the date and time on the thermostat to stick as the hub is missing. I followed this reset and repair procedure and now they are working together well without the hub and keeping the date and time. I will however need to manually adjust for daylight savings without the hub.

What a legend u r - i new nothing about this set up. I'm a old skol thermostat style person. My hive batteries needed changing and it wouldn't re - connect & I had 0 clue 😂😂😂😂 What's happening to the world....🌍 There's no simplicity no more - in anything..... it's just more shit to go wrong - plus it's also more expensive. bring back the old thermostat, that lasted the end of time. And if you did have to replace - it cost u a pew quid. The HIVE $$$$$ in my opinion not worth a TOSS let alone the money. Keep it real 🌍 👌🏼👊🏼👍🏼 Click - boiler fires up 👌🏼

Hi, try the standalone mode to see if that works. Also note, if you have the internet receiver, it must use the email address that was first registered to it. Otherwise you may need to purchase a new internet hub. JK

Is there a way to restore the hive to factory settings? My partner and I have moved into a new house with the Hive Hub & Thermostat installed but I am unable to sync the Hub to my phone through the Hive App as it's registered to the previous owners. Thanks

Hi, you will likely need to get a new hub as the old one is linked to the previous owner's email address. Alternatively you can contact British Gas and with the correct procedure ie permissions from previous owner, request it to be transferred into your own account. This may be a slightly lengthy process. Please let us know which route you took and how you got on. JK

Hi, I have installed a hive heating and hot water, please can you guide me in how to increase the temperature on the thermostat, the max I can go upto is 32c which doesn't turn the heating on. I need to increase the thermostat temperature to at least 45c. Waiting for your reply.

Hi, sorry your comment went was held in review. Apologies if this is very late, but basically for most homes you never need to go above 25 degrees. If it's not going on max temp and indoor temperature is low, then you have a wiring / controls issue. JK

How far can I put between the thermostat from the receiver in this stand-alone mode?

Hi, we missed your comment. Theres no exact distance as it varies on many things such as wall construction, other obstructions, etc. The protocol it uses is zigbee which is 10-100m .Standalone mode wont any different between the thermostat and receiver, however the hub may act as a repeater to boost the signal between the two. Please not separate booster plugs can be used although we would need to check if they work in standalone mode or not. JK

It would be even better if you could show how to wire from the isolator to the receiver ! No one shows that and that is what people like me need to see , as i live in the middle of nowhere and cant get an electrician for luv nor money. HELP !!!!

Hi, The wiring instructions are very simple and routine as far thermostats with receivers go. There is not enough demand for the the video for the wiring as usually it is carried out by a professional. Additionally, there are a few wiring variations due to different types of systems and wiring practices. You may find other videos on youtube showing the basics. JK
