Following your recommendation we purchased the same one you did the 30hr run. Problem was the manual was for SH$&! I could build one , with the manual, but couldn’t figure out how to get heat out of the damn thing with no mention as to which port was exhaust vs intake ! This video, as all of your other videos…… OUTSTANDING!!!! Thanks for taking the time to help us neophyte types out! 😂😂 You and your family stay well and happy . Do you think you can put the heatexchanger on its side so that you can put the inlet and ourlet on the side of the casing? So u can avoid the blocks under the device. It also means some mods on the casing.

Very informative videos!! I just ordered mine yesterday. I have one question in reference to the dryer hose. In your Amazon links, you list the 4” diameter hose. It was my understanding that I needed the 3” diameter hose. Can you confirm which one I need? Thank you!

I have used both, I hear they sometimes the 3 inch will back hear up in to the unit if there are any tight elbows. I have not ever had an issue though

4 inch since you are increasing the length, a long 3 lnch will create excessive back pressure and give you high combustion chamber temp code

You got about the same because they are the same (5 kw & the 8kw). All you have to do is go into the setting code (4 blinking lines) and put in 1688. From there you can set it even lower than it came and Higher than it came in both the Pulse setting & the Fan setting... Factory setting is like 1.4 but will go down to 0.8, factory High is like 5.4 (5kw) but will go all the way up to 8.0 (8kw). Thats where you get your 8kwh at.. But I just use mine ~ as is ~ because it doesn't really get that cold here in Eastern N.C. except for about 7-10 day a Year.. Like RIGHT NOW, Tonight & tomorrow night suppose to be like 12-15 degrees. Thanks 4 Video...

Our "winter," is the first or second week of December (first frost) and the 3rd week of February. We are now in Spring. So, our "winter" lasts about 9 weeks.Happy Days are here again.

How hot does the outlet duct get? I was hoping to set a heater up in a cabin that has a storage partition. I was going to put the heater in the storage side and pipe the duct through the wall. The walls are lined with wool insulation. My only fear is rhe duct being so hot as to cause a fire. Im talking about the duct coming from the front of the heater not the exhaust

Love your content here. Where did you get the fuel can? I have overland van and the cans you mount to rack and pay dearly. They suck….if anyone else has suggestion on 10-20 litre with push button fill such as this or one that stops when full? “ one that really works” please chime in. Im using a battery powered transfer pump but lose it out back…. And no I’m not Aussie..but stayed in a holiday inn express last night

I've heard that the exhaust pipe needs to be run downhill so that condensation does not build up in the pipe and create soot. I want to use mine in a sailboat so it will be hard to run it downhill and still get it outside. I think there is a part you can buy that hooks onto the pipe that has something similar to an S trap for plumbing attached so the condensation can be let out without having the exhaust come out with it. Does anyone reading this know anything about this or know where I can find info about it?

You can use a battery. The battery powers the electronics and the fans

Get a car battery!!!!!!!!!!!! Even if an old one it will work, couple it up to a charger or take it to house to charge. Duh!

I'm curious, did you run one tank of fuel for your test, or empty the tank and put in just one gallon? My low setting is 1.7hz, I am sure that will affect fuel consumption. Mike from MASS.

I use a 4” hose and use the 3 in tube it comes with sort as a coupler after I cut it down

That is the clicking noise you hear when it starts, it is priming itself after the glow plug heats up

I believe there's a setting that allows you to prime the pump before start-up. It's probably in the user manual

1liter diesel is 10kwh count from that. If burn diesel slowly your gallon or whatever will last long but won't heat more than 10Kwh / liter

6 an half hours on hight no more fuel on mind .. dam it .. gets hot .. my basement gets 27 C degrees 80 degrees F .. so .. cost runing it 2 dollars a liter .. 10 dollars in a half a day .. about ..

What you have there is a 5Kw heater that's deceitfully marketed as an 8Kw. If you need proof go to John McK 47 YT channel and he will explain WHY 8 Kw heaters don't exist!
