Can you do a quick video on Macro with OM 1 and syncing your Godox flash to its burst mode ? (Ie what are the settings you use on the flash) Thank you and I really enjoy your videos. I feel inspired to give this a go.

Great tutorial I’m just getting into macro and have a question if in manual focus mode and at 1:1 doe the auto focus control the lens even in mf ? It appears to but having difficulty when hand held to get a good stack

Stewart, thanks for the video, I enjoy your work. Just for completeness though, 1/50 is the fastest shutter speed for silent mode, it’s faster for mechanical shutter.

You can only use the silent mode for stacking or bracketing on my camera,

@@StewartWoodArt you’re absolutely right of course, silent shutter only on om-1 as well. Was getting confused with flash. Correct me if I’m wrong though, you can bracket or stack with faster shutter speeds if not using flash.

Hi Stewart, great video that helped me understand the bracketing technique better, thanks! I’ve only dabbled in the in-camera stacking so far, and while powerful, I don't particularly like the quality of the resulting jpg image, so I'm looking into trying the bracketing soon. A partially related question: how do you deal with all those raw images used for a stack? When you shoot hundreds of raws just for a single stacked image, your drive must get full incredibly quickly. Do you have a backup method for those source images? I usually don't want to leave them in Lightroom, as they take a lot of space and slow the program down. Perhaps you can even do a whole video on this topic :) Thanks and best regards!

Hi, with the OM system and focus bracketing, when do you use the computational focus bracketing in autofocus and when do you use focus bracketing with manual focus. moving the camera from front to back?

I always use the bracketing in autofocus with this camera, I only use manual focus when I’m using a manual lens or a camera that doesn’t support auto bracketing.

i just recently bought this camera with the 60mm, but i sometimes have problems with the flash. I have a meike mk320, sometimes it reads it correctly and connects, allowing me to use it for bracketing, but other times i turn it on and the camera does not read it and it doesn't function when i try bracketing, but it does for normal pictures. Any idea?

Could be a bad flash or connection, you would need an another flash to test it.

Software, the camera can only do 15 image stacks internally.

You have to have a compatible AF lens.

Hey Stewart thanks for the video! I have a question, would I be able to use the in camera focus stacking / bracketing with a manual lens?. Very new to the M43 world, I did shoot on Sony FF and have done focus stacking with rails, but after recently picking up a Panasonic G3 and 7Artisan lens for super cheap I am tempted to get a newer body. Thanks!

no, the in-camera focus stack requires a compatible lens. you can, however do manual stacks.

@@StewartWoodArt that makes sense. I ended up getting one of the rails a bit like the Nisi one that you reviewed. I had a cheaper 4 way plastic one but I found it was a bit temperamental at moving. Also picked up a OM-1 which I am super happy with! Also, Birmingham based? I am sure I recognise that accent! (Brummie here too, but moved away for 10 years and recently came back, god knows why ha).
