I have an aftermarket setup but I wanted to improve sound quality. I bought the Optim 6. I am running a PDX amp to some Hertz PDK speakers and now I can finally hear how good my speakers are. I thought maybe the speakers were not as good as advertised. This thing fixed all of my SQ problems. You can dial your sound in to what you like and the processor takes all the noise out.

how about a video showing a sub out to a mono amp on channels 5/6 and using channels 7/8 for a mid woofer? In particular, how do you adjust the settings on both the amp and channels 5/6

I have the optim 6. Where are the input gains for high level? Pc or phone app i cant find them. Also if i want that 4volt output do i just leave master volume at 35 and use volume wcontrol on radio?

The DSP has a bit of a learning curve but well worth it. Even though the time correction option was kind of glossed over as optional, do yourself a favor and do it, wow what a difference in the sound, easily my favorite feature of this unit.

Dear Alpine. In the owners manual of the Alpine status speakers it says "not using the passive crossover voids the warranty." So if we buy the the amp with DSP and your set of speakers and use it as it was designed it will void the warranty on the speakers. Alpine technical support explained this to me after my purchase. How does this make sense?

I just got the c60 and I think it will do what I want, but holey crap the manual sucks, even the software has zero explanation for settings. Novice installers will struggle. That said it sounds good, much better than the audio control unit I was using.

Please make video for the C60. I know it’s the same but you are Alpine you should have a video for each product. Plus it can’t be explained the same because channel options are different.

For setting up Time alignment...do the calculations and set it with milliseconds, just measuring and entering the distance did not work for me! I also now have a turn off "pop" after installing the DSP if anyone has any possible solutions? PDX-V9 & KTA-450 amps, iLX-507 HU, otherwise (so far) really like the processor.

Congratulations on the video. One question... Nowadays (2024) the most complete Multimedia Receiver models for cars have advanced features, such as: 13-band graphic equalizer; active crossover; time alignment; 3 pre-amplified RCA audio outputs (4V); 3-way network mode (Low, Mid, High). So I ask: could the use of such a Multimedia Receiver “in theory” eliminate the need for an audio processor (DSP)? Or in practice will using a DSP always yield superior audio quality?

I am seeking a solution where the car speaker initially runs from the factory output signal, but switches to the amplifier output once the car engine starts. This setup aims to conserve the car battery by preventing it from draining power when the car is not running, while still allowing me to enjoy music from the factory radio, as it consumes less power.

Okay Néw question. 1. So I need to set all my gains and level match my entire system before proceeding with the automatic EQ? A- So set all my levels to each piece of equipment. Then set up the DSP? Or B - Set. Up DSP then Level match all Gains Then shi the auto EQ? I have two separate ampd

Thank you, I currently have the HDA-F60 driving HDZ-65C fronts and HDZ-65 rears. This is connected to my standard head unit via a LC6i from AudioControl. The sound is great but missing the clarity I wanted. Would the PXE-C60-60 be a good solution in replacing the LC6i?

Once you establish the global EQ setting to your liking on your phone and save the preset. Then at that point, if you want to make some more fine tune adjustments, you would go back into the PC software and start adjusting the EQ once again with the parametric band, or with the Other EQ options? I truly like the simplicity of setting the global EQ with the phone. I wish I could just keep making adjustments that way. But as you begin to continue to find the sound that you want, would you want to spend most of your time on the global EQ or would you want to go back to the PC software and play around more with the barometric EQ and the QT?

Why exact does it not do the calculations for time correction? It seems to be the industry standard on dsps now. Even the ilx-507/9/11 are doing the calculation to whatever measurement type you select.

If I’m going to run components on the front channels 1 and 2 , I would just send a full signal? Then crossover the whole component at around say 80hz to ensure my mid bass is still going in crossed over and then allow the components passive crossover to do its job for the tweeters? Also then copy it to the 2nd channel?

Hi alpine I installed an optim 6 and I’m having floor noise even with the gain all the way down. I already checked the rcas and ground everything is ok. What could be the problem? Thanks I hope you can help me

This might be a stupid question but how do you set the output voltage for the C60 when supplying an external amplifier? I know how to set the gains with a multimeter or oh scope for my amplifier, but how do I know that the signal from the DSP is coming out clearly or clean? Is it automatically set at zero DB with no distortion? Is the DSP automatically synced and giving out its max output at a clean level? If I have to set my head unit to put out an unclipped signal, wouldn’t I have to do the same thing for the DSP going to my external amplifier?

Please make an Android app!!! Just disable the AutoEQ function or limit it to only enable on phones you know have a capable microphone. There is more utility to the app than just the AutoEQ. I purchased the KTX-CSP for AutoEQ. There is a massive hole in my mid-bass that can't be corrected, but the program doesn't know that and tries to bring it up, which in turn causes distortion. My S2-S65 mid-bass clips and the tweeters crackle and pop. I followed the instructions outlined in the manual and videos by Alpine. Would you also address the issue where the actual power output is restricted well below what it is rated? The forum that shows the issue is "Alpine PXE-C80-88 Optim8 - Power / THD Tests"

I’m so lost with the Attenuation volume percentage. I think I am missing something. I have zero sound coming out of my amps. I have the C60 running to two amps. Both amps are on and ready. My main source is High Level… But I selected the Bluetooth as the Mix source and set the Attenuation to 100%. Thinking that when I chose Bluetooth it would give me full volume. Well… I get back in the car and just play a CD and lo and behold NO volume. Nothing. I think I was supposed to set the Main source to High level and keep the percentage of Attenuation at 0. It’s late and I can’t work on it till tomorrow. Is that correct? All amps and DSP or connected correctly and working. All software is downloaded and installed. I had to mess up the settings somehow

Bonjour il est impossible de stocker dans la mémoire de l amplificateur les réglages de l’auto eq,ni avec un iPhone 12 ni avec le micro ktx et le pc.Pourrant le réglage son est très bon tant que tout est connecté,et tout disparaît quand on éteint….plus de basse ,obligé de désactiver l eq pour avoir un son correct,système 4 voies active en stéréo. Merci pour votre solution,appareil neuf.

I have an Optim8 and love the sound quality! But, I tune it manually with REW. I’m having a hard time understanding how the auto EQ function is saved. Once I use my iPhone and auto tune, will it just automatically have the tune loaded next time I get in the car? Or do I have to load the app every time I want to access the tune. 2nd Can I just sweep around my head and use it tune for driver side only. 3rd If Im listening to a preset and then load the app, does it change to the auto tune? Thanks! Love the product!

The AutoEQ has its own separate save on the Optim8. You don't need an app once it is saved. You can still open the app later to make adjustments on the fly and save over it. In order for the AutoEQ to function properly it needs to have as much data as possible. You can still make adjustments to the timing for specific seating positions. AutoEQ is global and doesn't appear to be tied to any specific preset.

can the remote control be configured to stay on the sub level instead of main volume? it's kind of useless and ruins the OEM look

2 months in and already had to uninstall it and take it to warranty. A real cheap downgrade coming from a previous generation alpine amp. already has been analyzed by some technicians and doesn't have enough internal components to handle what is marketed as to do (4 speakers and a small sub)

After watching this video, it explains the unit much better. One thing y’all did not state and it may not matter, but do we follow the same steps as you did in the same order in the video? Meaning you completely set up the DSP and did some of the tuning software before you even ran the auto EQ with the iPhone.I was under the impression that once you install the DSP you would actually run the auto EQ with the iPhone the correct the signals, then go inside and start tweaking everything to your liking. Is there a difference between the process? Is there a certain steps that do have to be taken in order?

As of right now, when you install these you have to do the initial setup with a PC. Then once set up everything is done with the phone. That being said, we are working on a software update so that everything will be done on the phone going forward so there wont be a need for the initial PC setup. Stay tuned.

When you start the whole system start up where to set all the volume settings on the controller? Middle?

Don’t use the controller when setting system, only after to control level. Leave unplugged to max it out

@@maplesgamer378 Thank you. I don’t need a lot of power but I thought the C60 would be best considering I already have an amp for my highs and mids. But the c80 would be nice to get rid of my amp to save in space in the future and I would just use the sub outputs for my higher rms components up front. Still on the fence. I am really excited about the auto EQ function. It’s like the Kicker Key but more advanced with all the DSP functionality. I noticed that most of the negative reviews just come from power wire issues and not necessarily software problems, but just user error or more people who aren’t inclined and using a DSP already. I’ve never went through and fully tuned my car with a DSP but just because I’m having trouble running the system because I can’t understand everything I wouldn’t leave a negative review because of something on my behalf.

I am getting the 6 channel. How much should i be paying to get installed / and have the shop tune? They sre saying once i stalled it takes 3 or 4 hours to tune, i saw you do it in 15 minutes. They want to charge me 700 to install and tune, along with the 400 to purchase, for a total of $1100. Is that to much?

I don’t think for a savvy installer will take him 4 hrs. And I think between 250-400 max WOULD BE A FAIR PRICE ! 🤷‍♀️ but hey u know everyone has their own self value lol and rates ! ..I’m having my entire set up installed but keeping factory stereo ( jeep wrangler 2024) Front And Back speakers ( a total of 8) plus 2. 12”s box. 3 amps. PLUS THE C60 DSP and I was quoted 2700 mind u i bought all my equipment. Just. Paying install plus the Dsp ($399) so install is $2300 It does get expensive. When you want good stuff 🙈 🤷‍♀️

The movement you we’re doing with your phone were not right. The app just needed the left to righr stage top and bottom. Not move the phone all over the place.

Actually the more "different" each measurement point is, the better it works. There are two minutes of measurements. Repeating measurements from only a few locations aren't as impactful as a dynamic range of measurements.

I'd say the app designer needs a good talking to. The manual says different also. Blue shirt guy did it best. 😅
