So I was told that ensuring that the level matches up properly just don’t use the Controller during the set up process. That way it sinks itself automatically. Then once the process is complete after the Auto Eq is done then go back and plug the controller back in. Also I really just want to use it as my bass knob for now

That lcd screen looks like it came from a cheap MP3 player from Alibaba. For an $800 amp, I would expect the the display to be more polished instead of barebones.

I’m using the C60. But didn’t connect the controller but I would like to use it for my Bass Knob. But right now I am not getting any output. (Volume) Y’all forget to mention that there is a volume on the DSP in the software.

I have aftermarket 6x9 components for my front speakers. They take 100 watts rms. Any chance you can bridge channels 1 & 2 to increase the output rms power? Up to at least 75 watts.

Noted. Stay tuned. FWIW, the PC app is easy to use, but has a lot of options. I think even with a phone app, I’d much prefer the larger screen and ability to type numbers on a laptop.

I have the factory 8 inch radio in 2021Ram, you are saying that you can switch it out for a 11 inch Halo? other sources says that it can't be done. I have ordered the OPTIM6 and the Halo sub box with type R subs type R front and rear speakers but they say that I can't swap out the head unit for an Halo 11. In this video you are saying that it is possible?

The 21 ram 1500 doesn't have an available dash kit. Doesn't mean a new radio can't be put in, but it's realistically gonna cost you more than it's worth to change it out. The 8.4 is nice enough to keep, and just add your Optim6 and amps using the Pac Audio AP4CH41 integration.

When you High lvl into the amp does it give a load for the factory headunit?

It doesn’t on its own, but you can add load resistance via lots of 3rd party options.

Im surprised that works since it will keep taking different measurements for different locations at the time of sweep. Is this an accurate cabin EQ? In addition to that id imagine it would only work w/ what looks like an iphone because all phones have slightly different mics unless theres a mic from alpine you can buy or is compatible w/ an standard mic like. UMIK-1/2

Theoretically, you could. If it’s my vehicle, the front listening space is significantly more important than the rear seat, as it’s occupied far more frequently.

Quick question, my Jaguar XKRS does not support after market amplifiers unless I spend a lot a money on parts from Jaguar and then a radio unlock. would it be possible to run it as a standalone amp no radio but only Bluetooth as input connection. Sorry if this is a stupid question😅

What exactly is wrong with the OEM system? If you think it sounds good, but just needs more power than you could add an amplifier to boost the output. If you don't like the way it sounds you can take the factory sound system and and remove all of the time alignment, EQ and filters and then create a whole new tune using this DSP and possibly more powerful amplifiers. You shouldn't have to buy anything from the dealer.

So what is the auto tuning actually doing? I’ve watched three separate videos on the systems and I might be missing something but it doesn’t seem to get very specific on what it’s actually doing. One video shows that I have to manually put in time alignment and then I have to go to another website in order to get the figures correct. So if I am manually typing in the time alignment, what is the auto tuning actually doing? I was under the impression that the auto tuning process by Alpine was the same thing that kicker was using their kicker key product line when they would autotune the vehicle also with pink noise. Except there’s did a custom for time. Alignment automatically, I thought maybe it was looking forward distortion but that only happens if we have the unit turned up too high into a clipping signal. I thought maybe the auto tuning was the built-in RTA flattening the curve of the built-in crossover points from the factory head unit but that can’t be it either because the graph showsdifferent points. So what is the step actually doing? I have so many questions that I can’t ever seem to get answered. Maybe I’m just chasing perfection in my car I thought maybe because I had a base model radio in my Lexus it wouldn’t be necessary, but in this video you’re using a Dodge rams base package.

Its essentially measuring the vehicle interior space and adjusting the EQ to create the ideal sound experience for that environment. The rest is up to personal preference for you to adjust as you see fit.

This is adjusting and auto tuning for phase and frequency response issues in the car. Time alignment is not necessary, but can be used if you prefer a drivers seat only experience. In my case, I was so happy with the imaging and performance without time alignment, and how uniform it was for both front seats, that I don’t see a need for time alignment.

@@colinvargo3418 Thank . I basically got zero help from Alpine and when I did get them on the phone customer service was very rude. I returned the unit and bought a JL Audio TwK 88. Guess I have more work cut out for me but at least people are nice and willing hwlp

I have major doubts about the expert air 8. Specifically, the 96khz bit rate, which is technically hi res audio.

@@TheGodofSEO Oh I saw the video. I have no doubt that if done correctly that it will sound good. My doubts are based upon the 96khz resolution or bit rate that is considered hi resolution. In order to get hi resolution playback requires a high quality digital to analog converter (DAC). I'm not sure if it is capable of hi resolution over Bluetooth. All of the hi res Bluetooth devices that don't even have a dsp are at least double the cost. I see nothing that they are actually using a DAC with this capability or quality. Will it sound good? Yes but they should get rid of the 96khz in the description.... unless it is really 96khz. Again I just have my doubts.

Still not a decent training video on how to se these things up. The video from 4 months ago was labeled as a complete step by step but dude was skipping over all of the reasons why you would select a certain setting. Hey Alpine, you’re not just selling this to installers, how about an actual training video for folks buying this thing from Crutchfield?

2 months in and already had to uninstall it and take it to warranty. A real cheap downgrade coming from a previous generation alpine amp. already has been analyzed by some technicians and doesn't have enough internal components to handle what is marketed as to do (4 speakers and a small sub)

@@AlpineTV Hi, i had this pxe c80 with front R-S65C.2 speakers, in the back doors just the OEM VW Up speakers, and a SW10-d4 . now they told me they disambled it and rebooted it back on. will be getting it back on monday and hope it was everything a random glitch :/
