Setting up your bike correctly for the type of riding you enjoy is absolutely crucial and will often determine the outcome of your overall riding experience.
Poor bike setup, not a great time. Good bike setup, great times all around!
Despite all of that, incorrect bike setup is more common than the corona virus!
With that in mind, we thought we would share some of the main pointers that have helped us along the way. We figured that if it's worked for us, it will work for you!

Nice one. Was actually looking at my (same) bars today wondering if I need to roll them back a bit.

Thanks Manuel! Those handlebars are 760mm but you must find what is best for you. The tape is there to make the cables neat.

I've just purchased a 38mm rise, the stock bar was 25mm rise, and I was leaning to much over the fork🤞hopefully this new bar will dial in my ride, and be more comfortable, I also went from a 50mm stem down to a 40mm, but found that it put to much weight on the rear, I'm looking for a balanced feel, any tips would be appreciated👍😉

Maybe could be best to stick with the 50mm then? The reach on your frame may also not be spot on for you. Just got to keep tinkering to get it right!

15mm rise on those bars. Would like to try something with 20-30mm though.

I can’t figure out why my hands go numb, I’ve changed stems, grips, bars but nothing has worked yet.

That is unfortunate to hear. It may be a medical issue of sorts. Worth seeing an expert about. We hope it is something easily resolvable!

Height really means nothing for bar width. Place the bars on your stem with no grips, levers..ect. Hold the bar and move from out to in until you feel no muscle stress. Done. Cut em!

Fair enough but generally taller people will have longer arms and wider shoulders and thus will be more comfortable on a wider bar. It will naturally come down to one's preference.

What size bars should a 5’5” use?
@WILDAIRSPORTS
@WILDAIRSPORTS 2 жыл бұрын
Personal preference at the end of the day but you could probably look at 740-760. Start with the 760 and see if it feels like you should go narrower.
