Thanks a lot Kamal! They are both great, the biggest difference in my opinion is the sensor height on the mini LF, it helps give it an extra separation from the background. Both look almost the same once properly colored

Another killer contents!!! Thanks as always!!! Which gel did you use onto 600Ds? I used some cheap option for my 300d with 2x fresnel before and it got melt easily.. so it'd be great if you tell me which gel is your go-to when it comes to pair them up with something like 600d! Thank you sir!!!

I linked the ones that I use in my Aputure 300Dii mark ii review. I think it’s from Lee or rosco. I can’t remember the one exactly. Also it’s good to use a heat shield gel

At 5:45 did you say you use those 3 lights as a fill there to wrap around the face more?

Correct. Since the shot was mostly backlit, the lights wrapped light across the side of their face, keeping shadows to the camera side

That’s how the editor and director cut it. I don’t handle edits on these shoots, I just work as the DP. That said, I liked how the edit turned out.

The wide was supposed to be the first shot, then front on then OTS of the snowman, it was eventually cut this way cos we liked the performance as it grabbed ur attention immediately. OTS of snowman was cut for timing and to not reveal punchline too soon.

What’s a estimated budget range for this project?

This particular one I don’t remember specifics but usually a crew of this size would be for 25k-40k per day. Production hard costs might be a bit lower like 18k for crew + talent + locations then the extra part for margin. Again these are super rough numbers and not necessarily what it was for this exact shoot.
