once again a video thats worth watching. the list of reasons for doing stock fotos is inlightening, and another reason just might be that it gets the creative juices flowing....from the mundane everyday stuff. .... from nothing comes something ! zen billings in canada

I have an old studio stand. It is basically just a pole on wheels with an adjustable arm to mount the camera on. Thanks for watching.

Can I use my cellphone to submit to Shutterstock? I have a Samsung Galaxy and the pictures it produces are incredible (way better than iphone)

Yes. Cellphone images can produce high enough quality images that the stock agencies will take them. My experience is that they don't do great in low light so the lighting needs to be good. I have sent in images from my phone as well as videos and the have been accepted and sold. I don't think a phone produces a better image than a nice camera just yet but if you don't want to carry around anything more than a phone you are still well equipped for stock images.

do you leave empty spaces in the middle or so for text for the final user of the photo?

Not always but in this case I did. A couple of these images have sold but I do not know how they were used. Thanks for the comment.

When you say consistent how many per day should I upload?

What I mean by consistent is to upload on a regular basis. Lets say you have 1000 images to upload. Don't upload them all in the first week and then upload nothing for a month. Upload 100 every week for ten weeks in a row and by the end of the tenth week make sure you have produced more images to upload again on the 11th week. Now the number doesn't have to be 100 a week. It could be 10. It could be 5000. Whatever you're able to produce is fine. There just seems to be, in my experience, a benefit to uploading on a consistent regular basis. Hope that helps.
