I've just made a first lesson with this guy, it is amazing! I have a lot of experience with teachers and vocal programs, and doing a lesson with Daniel by skype was definitely one of the best things I've made! Thanks Daniel, looking forward for the next week! =D

great 3 part lesson Daniel! Thanks! Excellent skill demonstrating the subtle coordination from lower to upper larynx position. You bring some solid and concise insights here that help a lot with how to safely take the voice from cruise to overdrive (preferably in that order). Very useful tips for me!

Daniel These videos are awesome! I'm so glad that I found them. Your ability to seamlessly switch from style to style is exactly what I've been looking for. It is evident that you have a tremendous respect for all styles of singing. Your straightforward explanations are also much appreciated. Thank you.

I feel like I'll just keep on trying and trying and trying and I will die while being awful at all of this. It's been almost 8 years now and it seems that all I've been consistent at is hurting myself. I would sell my soul with no hesitation whatsoever to sound half as good as you. I still thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of your videos, I guess I'm just not cut out for this.

daniel formica I'd really like to study with you, Daniel, but I just don't have the money. I know it would be the best investment I ever made, but I just can't right now. I will find a way to it one day, you have my word. Take care, you're the best.

Love the exercises with creaky EE vowel long scale to get the cords together for warm up. Also love the transition from EE to AH, which is the toughest vowel to sing with. But the BIGGEST chasm for me always has been- HOW DO YOU apply all these to singing? I can do the exercises just fine, but when the actual song comes in with different vowels, consonants and old muscle memory, the whole thing falls apart. I try using the vowels for the songs but it still does not work when you go back to the actual words. There is still something missing- a framework in which to make the transition from exercise to song. Until I find that missing element, I shall NEVER have that vocal breakthrough I need.

The problem was in the past they would always have you sing a classical song rather than give you exercises. Then they would tell you that this is "correct" singing, so you tried to do that with more contemporary songs and it just lost all the things that made the genre what it was. Thank God vocal pedagogy has evolved!

daniel formica For you how to release throat without low of larynx?
@danielformica-yourvocalteacher
@danielformica-yourvocalteacher 7 жыл бұрын
your throat is released naturally there is nothing you need to do other than listen to yourself and sing the vowels correctly. the minute you raise the palate, lower the larynx pull back the tongue you throw the whole mechanism out of whack. 5 things determine a vowel throat tongue jaw lips palate. don't manipulate any of these . the vowels will adjust for each one themselves

Im 18, and my voice sounds a bit strange. Been playing guitar and harmonica for a while, and now i want to learn singing. Since I'm playing everything by ear, its not a big problem for me to hit a correct note. I'm comfortable in singing in range from A2 to about D4 with my chest voice, but my voice sounds weak, like bad Bob Dylan impression. I want to sound more like Eddie Vedder or something, you know, to have this strong voice. Are there any exercises that will help me build that kind of voice, or is this something that will come with time? Sorry for my bad english.

Michelle Brownstone it will absolutely come with time. there are many exercises for warming up on youtube. i would say get a good warm up 30 min and then practice singing your favorite songs the best you can everyday. it will come but YOU have to practice..

You need more views and publicity Sir. Hope you upload more videos because are SUPERB! thank you for all your guide! i have a quick question Every baritone should be capable to reach the tone and intensity of a metal screaming like you do on 2:36 ? ( or a few tones down, but i refer the "metal" style you got there.) i mean, does every pitch increases with practice or may be, in my case (which i think i am a bari. You can check any of my videos if you have any way to know it) i could never reach that metal style ? i feel really confortable singing in the register of, for example, eddie vedder, but i never been capable to have a good sound higher than that. Thank you in advance and please, keep the good work buddy!

baritone and tenor are not classified buy range but by color of tone. as you go higher don't get louder and don't push more. singing is counterintuitive. Once you can release the notes will get stronger.
