im tryinga sing that song and english isnt my first language and is good to know that even ppl that have eng as first language have difficult to sing that song at first time, so i'd say that im doing very well

I felt more energy from the teacher than from gotye. Like I thought he was pulling a milli vanilla. I can picture someone like Sting singing this with more passion than gotye shows in his performances. But I think it was because he was new. Now his performances seem to have more energy. This is a great video I would get tripped up on the lyrics too.

Great fun song choice, you get into the spirit of the voices well, the guy in gotye is a particular nasal but pleasant tone, definitely an underplayed song in his performance. gotye compresses and trips some words in those lines rather peculiarly. but it all really works, whats good in vocal style is often not obvious, but if not express-able its all very audible to the listener.
