Know yall will give som fish out, walked into the shop once and met Chris and he was like “Hey got a cooler?, Yeah???? “Let me get some fish for ya” I came outta ther with queen snapper, mutton just insane. That was a monster grouper!! And a great fillet job. Cheers yall appreciate ya

I really want you to come over to Hawaii and show me how to jig over there, what i found out is, over hawaii, it is so hard to fish either for queen or tuna. fish went super deep during day time, and most of time didn't eat jig at all.

I WHISH that Vic or Ryan would response back to me about ther setups when they fished in Alabama, when they caught their AHI, Yellow fin tuna. I know the high end rods and reels they used, but the main line and leader is my question.

We are using 20 pound berkley x9. We use a thin diameter line when dropping deep to help stay vertical.

Hey Jay, Honesty, it was very good. It was a bit firmer than a smaller grouper but not too firm. I just cooked the last piece that was vacuum sealed in my freezer and had zero complaints from the fam. It's definitely a great tasting fish.

The fish had delicious flavor/taste by no means was it tough or chewy however, I did use a knife to cut my pieces so, it wasn’t as flakey as a smaller fish.

Honestly, it was delicious. No parasites and it was very white and flacky with a good texture. I was very curious if it would be good or not.

You should have returned the grouper back into the water. You had enough fish for eating. Not impressed.

Hi Treatiesalways, I can appreciate your compassion for the fish. By the time this fish surfaced from 900', he was dead. We do send back many fish using descending devices, and you will see that often on our channel teaching others how to release fish the best way possible using these devices. I can assure you that not a single piece of that fish went to waste. After our team grabbed what they wanted to fead their families, we gave the remainder to the Police and Firefighters located behind our shop.

@@JohnnyJigsTV Appreciated your reply. In NZ we are big on catch and release and only take what you need for a feed. Those big giants isn’t something I’d be interested in targeting if the likelihood of killing them in ascent is high. That’s where recreational fisherman can have detrimental impact, as I can’t imagine numbers of giant grouper is massively high. Thanks for replying. Otherwise enjoy your fishing channel but big groupers are another story. All the best.
