I loved Tron Legacy & Star Wars Prequel Trilogy as a kid/younger teen. I was bewildered by Star Wars Sequel Trilogy as a older teen/adult. I only seen Tron '82 once but I want to rewatch it more times than the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy.

First and foremost, they need to get rid of Kathleen Kennedy. The disdain she's shown towards both the fans and the franchise is what's torpedoed Star Wars, and as long as she's there, she'll continue to undermine future projects. Jon and Dave, honestly, need to be put in charge of the franchise. They GET IT. They understand the characters, they understand the universe, and they respect the fans. Look at the first Iron Man; Jon directed it, and it set the stage for a decade of storytelling, as well as giving us the Tony Stark/Iron Man that the fans wanted. Dave worked on ATLA, and it's still a popular and well-loved franchise even today. These guys understand how to make it work, and I feel that, going forward, they should be the ones to take the reins on Star Wars. Just my two cents. Great video, Elaine!

Tron Legacy did such a great job of honoring the original Tron film and all that history, while bringing it all into a whole new era. It's just such a crying shame this movie didn't do really catch on in the minds of the mainstream. Tron Legacy imo has a really good solid pacing, absolutely beautiful visuals, even now today they hold up. I just love Tron Legacy, it shows perfectly how the world of the grid has evolved now, and the music by Daft Punk is just crisp it so perfectly fits the world of Tron and really brings it all alive. It's just frustratingly ironic that Tron Legacy perfectly reboots that franchise but sadly it just never caught on, with the sequel trilogy and the current state of Disney Star Wars in general right now, all they're bothered about is putting corporate interest above good, quality and compelling storytelling. Since the lame BOBF series i just dont see any hope for Disney Star Wars now.

I subbed after Jayne Theory's unfortunate goodbye stream Saturday. You're spoken about in high regard with Nerdrotic and the rest of the FNT crew. I chose this video to watch first because I really like Tron Legacy. I'm a kid of the 80's so I saw the original Tron in the theaters and played the damn near impossible arcade game so many times and then I took my son to Tron Legacy. It was something we both enjoyed and the movie reflected what my son and I had...minus me leaving and getting trapped on the net. The other part to Tron Legacy was it didn't take away from Sam Flynn either. Like Finn who should be a capable solider was drug around by Rey and then Rose ultimately becoming a joke in the Last Jedi. So it wasn't just the respect they gave the legacy characters but to the new ones as well. We needed to know that they were just as capable as their predecessors and perhaps could bring something new to the table. Great video! Going to be getting into a lot these...especially your Dune videos...I have hard time with the books so I can't wait to hear your view!

Another very well presented vid. Yes, it's sad that the main characters in Star Wars were usurped to promote an anti-fan SJW agenda. However, maybe there's hope. Since it appears they've run Star Wars (with the exceptions of Clone Wars and The Mandalorian) into the ground, perhaps they might feel compelled to go back into the Tron franchise.

Although I am glad Disney is fixing their mistakes with the Star Wars franchise, I definitely don’t mind them coming back to the tron franchise since they are supposedly no longer working on another Star Wars trilogy. The Tron franchise as a whole is an underrated masterpiece that definitely needs more recognition!

The only correction I would make about this video is when you mentioned that Disney is the first studio to ever blame the fans for their failure. While it is true that they have done it to an unprecedented level, technically Sony did something very similar with Ghostbusters 2016. So, very minor nitpick to an otherwise great video.

There is no honour nor dignity left at Disney.

I'll never watch any of the sequel again and walk out of ROS. No more money for Disney as long as KK is there and even if she leaves the story is broken.

It’s a shame Disney neglects Tron now that they own Star Wars. I honestly don’t understand why other than money. Besides the two being sci fi movies, they literally have nothing in common. Star Wars takes place in outer space and a plethora of unique planets. Tron takes the place in a cybernetic neon digital world. Star Wars has a lot of outlandish and unique alien species. Tron has no aliens. Star Wars has a lot of unique robots. Tron has the Master Control Program, which isn’t really a robot, more of a villainous corrupted AI. I don’t recall seeing any robots in the movies. Star Wars has had a plethora of movies, shows, video games, and other stuff. Tron has a toy line, two movies, an underrated TV series, two characters in Disney Infinity, and the original arcade game. Do you see how different these two are?
