How to get rid of weeds and grass in your clover food plots! I'll show you what to spray to control weeds and grass in your clover plot and more importantly how to mix them! Here is what I used:
Clethodim 2EC Southern States has it for about $85/2.5 gallon jug. or your local farm supply
Butyrac 24db Southern States has it for about $50/ gallon jug. or your local farm supply

Subscribed and gave you a thumbs-up good information what type of sprayer is that you got I went and looked at the boom but I'm were wondering about that sprayer itself the tank and the pump

Steve Germain It's just a standard 25 gallon tank sprayer. Like this one: amzn.to/3vZuDZJ I just switch between the boom and the spray wand by switching the end of the hose. Thank you for watching! There’s a lot of variables in sprayers an the speed traveling when spraying varies too it’s a good idea to test spray 1 acre with just water to see how many gallons it takes normally 20-25 gallons at 5-6 mph is what I use you have to think of the water as the vehicle delivering the herbicide that’s why they recommend a herbicide rate per acre instead of per gallon because the gallon rate can vary too much an end up not enough or too much herbicide per acre without knowing how much the sprayer is calibrated to put down per acre an at what speed.

Parasol Awnings LLC I'm honestly not sure. I used about 5 Gallons of solution for a 1/4 acre plot. I think the % matters more and just hitting every piece of it. Thank you for watching. That's great!, always had trouble with that too. Only other thing I struggled with figuring out is how fast to go when you spray to get the right amount of spray laid down. Do you have any idea?

It’s easy to read gallons per acre. Figure out how much your 25 gal sprayer covers then add ounces per acre to cover the required amount shown on the bottle. Ounces per gallons means nothing if you’re going to slow or fast your rates could be drastically wrong. You need to know at a constant speed how much your sprayer will cover. I spray 1000s of acres a year…

@darrenturcotte7799 I supposed if you spray 1000s of acre a year is is easy. I'm spraying with a golf cart and an unknown speed. The guess formula I'm using seems to work pretty good. jaredcep the closest one I can find is this one. amzn.to/3R3flhw Same tank and pump. I built mine from used gear with a new boom I found someplace online a few years ago. Hi Scott. I'm doing this as my lawn as crazy as it sounds but I have a spray tank 1 gallon. About 2500 sqft. I was wondering if I should cut clover before spray? Will the 24db lol poison ivy as well? It's about 4 inches tall right now. Also is there a best time to spray? Thank you!

samuraioodon I would not mow the clover at all. Let the deer mow it. Not sure about the Poison Ivy. I spray early in the spring and then later in the summer when the weeds start to pop back up. Josh Jacobson I wondered that as well and could not find any information about it. Without knowing for sure if it is safe, I decided against it. If you look on whitetail institutions website they recommend them individually. Keystone pest solutions has these generics and another that does both broadleaf and weeds in one application
